Numerologist on `save nation\' errand
A numerologist from Andhra Pradesh has now taken up residence in Delhi with the avowed objective of ``saving the country and the Capital from the onslaught of terrorism\'\'. His armoury, however, comprises only numbers and by changing names, he claims he can do wonders.
Having discovered this field quite by chance, Mr. P.S. Nehru\'s passion for numerology has been shaped by the effects of his own remedies. ``I started practising numerology first on myself and then on my relatives and friends and, to my amazement, I found that it works\'\'.
As per numerology, there are two types of numbers -- good, luck numbers and ill-luck numbers. While good luck numbers attract good things, bad luck numbers attract bad things. ``Every alphabet has a certain value assigned in numerology and the sum total of it in a name must harmonise with the birth name. If the name number signifies bad luck, it attracts destructive objects and gets destroyed,\'\' he says.
For example, while the World Trade Centre works out to a single digit of 8, Pentagon has eight letters and both forebode ill-luck. ``That is why the two buildings were affected. In stark contrast, the White House condenses itself to a single digit lucky number and therefore, it repelled the terrorist attack,\'\' Mr. Nehru argues. The Hindustan Coca Cola factory was blown up near Vijaywada because it also resolves into a single digit number, 8, which brings ill-luck.
Arguing that the key compound numbers -- 11, 12 and 13 -- were ``ill luck numbers\'\', Nehru says while the name Divya Bharati condenses to 11, Madhavrao Scindia and Rajesh Pilot to 13. ``No wonder, they met with a tragic end,\'\' he reasons, adding that Bollywood star Aamir Khan has to be careful as his number condenses to a ``victim\'\' number. ``Sanjay Dutt too should change his name as his number resolves to a criminal number\'\'.
Nehru has advised many politicians and film stars to change their names. ``What happens in such cases is that the name number starts coinciding with the destiny number and ill luck is warded away,\'\' he reasons.
However, it is the prevailing situation in Delhi and in Jammu and Kashmir that is of great concern to him, as of now. ``New Delhi will become like Kashmir if its name is not changed immediately. It can become N. Delhi or Indraprastha,\'\' he suggests. As regards Jammu and Kashmir, he says ``we should start writing it as Jemmu and Kaashmir\'\'.
