Ya,thats write clothes and tounge,i know what you guys must have thought when you read \" clothes and tounge, but what i would give as Tips of becoming a succesful manager is just about clothes and usage of language.HERE WE GO 1.First wear great formal clothes and always move you hand away from your body while you talk.Use the word \" strategic\" as many time as possible.Don`t make it obvious also like \" Lets go to a strategic pub beer\",thats pushing too much.Always talk of business processes,no one know what they are and you sound impressive.Talk as much about market sentiments, say \" i am bullish about this and that but XYZ sector might undergo a Re-structuring blah blah..\".If you wanna say,\"I want to remove all the areas where we spend more in our company\'s activity\" Say it this way \" I want to initiate cost cutting exercises in our strategic(remember!) section in our supplychain,so that the long term returns would enable us to improve our bottom line and also create \" sustainable growth\".When you talk to someone who knows Ziltch about business, you are a hero.Thats where you impliment your language war, just keep giving false statistics for example..\" that company had a 12% decline in their bottom line this quarter..\"Neither of you would know what was conversed, but you are a hero.Lastly... smell good. There are more to it ,lemme see.

You talking about an average run of the mill manager. Unfortunately, most organizations do not spend money on Training and Development of its people. Given the nature and constancy of change, the key to making the right choice will come from understanding and embodying the leadership qualities necessary to succeed in a mercurial global economy. We need LEADERS, NOT MANAGERS. To survive in the new millennium, Dr. Warren Bennis believes that we\'re going to need a new generation of leaders - leaders, not managers. Dr. Bennis contends:...*The manager administers; the leader innovates....*The manager maintains; the leader develops....*The manager focuses on systems and structure, the leader focuses on people....*The manager relies on control; the leader inspires trust....*The manager has a short range view; the leader has a long-range perspective....*The manager asks how and when; the leader asks what and why....*The manager has his eye on the bottom line;the leader has his eye on the horizon....*The manager accepts the status-quo; the leader challanges it....The manager is the classic soldier; the leader is his own person.....THE MANAGER DOES THINGS RIGHT; THE LEADER DOES THE RIGHT THING!
