AYODHYA, SRI RAM, HINDU, LORD SHIVA AND ALLAH.


Dear sir,

Say with Pride, We are Hindus.

I am still a proud Hindu but some times it makes me wonder whether Lord Sri ram and the supreme Lord Shiva are happy with our actions.

HINDUISM - the most tolerant, diverse and rich religion and has lot to offer to the rest of the world. We worship SAGUN Brahma (Form) and we also worship NIRGUN (Form less). Every one is free to worship any form and in whatever fashion they desire. No body can trace back the origin of this religion.

Despite all the above, we must realize that God created Man and Man has invented religion to take him closer to God.

No body has limbs before one’s birth and parents after one’s death, hence we must transcend all religious, class, caste distinctions. This is birth is a means to realize our true selves by getting rid of our limited ego.

Babar may well have destroyed Hindu temples and may have built Mosques in their place. He was ignorant, so as many of us now, of the fact that there resides God in every body and God does not belong to any one particular religion. We call Him Lord Shiva, Christians call him the ‘The Lord’, Muslims call him Allah but it is one and the same.
Babar and so as some other (not all) Muslim rulers, and the founders of Pakistan and even the present leaders of Pakistan never ever tolerated any other religion. But that does not give us any justification to become exactly like them. Sri Ram belongs to the whole humanity. If people from all over the world happen to worship the same Lord (May be under different names and means) at the birth place of Lord Ram, what more you desire.

Let us construct a Mosque, a Temple, a Gurudwara, a Church, a Budhist monastery at the disputed site (Janma bhoomi) and let the world know by our actions what Hindus stand for.

Muslims have been and are very much part of our society. Some of them may feel that religious calling is more important than the call of the Nation. But our actions should not further alienate them. We must all learn that we have to live together no matter what. We can not ethnically cleanse each other in the name of God as every creature is the creation of that same supreme Lord. Other religions may not preach this fact but our great religion states this fact unequivocally in more than 10000000 times in different scriptures. Let us become what we were during the period of Ram.

Most of the Muslims living in India are there for generations and have equal rights ( some times political parties give them more rights than accorded to majority which naturally causes backlash from majority ).

No amount of weaponry and the nuclear arsenal is going to protect any nation in future.
It is the Lord. So let us strive to attain his mercy by at least behaving like his worthy sons.

Hence I appeal, my fellow Hindus, let us construct a universal prayer center at the site of birth place of Lord Ram, so that every one in the world will get the merit of visiting that holy site .

I say it with pride - I am a Hindu.

Mr.Deshpande I agree with most part of your discourse. Well..but we(hindus) are not asking them(muslims) to get out the country, they have been living here for generations, well and good, so they too have equal rights. But when we want to build temple in a place as holy as Rama Janma Bhoomi why do they want to oppose, its no big deal right. Our place is as holy as Mecca or rather vice versa. Why do they want to fight for the petty reason that a small Mosque used to exist there.

My dear countrymen: Please try to understand that Muslims have almost no say in the Ayodhya Mosque-Temple controversy. The mosque is closed since 1948-49, it was demolished in 1992, a make-shift temple already exists there. All these happened without any consultation/agreement of Muslims. At present there is no active movement from the Muslims to rebuild the mosque. The land is under government custody. So the talk about Muslims giving the land voluntary (which is not in their possession) for building the temple is just to divert the attention. This is just to show that Muslims are preventing the construction of temple. This simply not true. Muslims are in no position to do that. Only Supreme Court\'s judgment can decide the ownership of the land. This judgement will be binding on all the citizens of India. Till then we all have to wait.

Sathi, why do you hindus have to fight on petty reason that a small temple exited before the mosque.
If you think the moslems wrongly built a mosque then it is the hindus fault/karma that it happened. Now dont try to do another adharma in the name of dharma.

why dont we have a refrendam on what to be bulit .lets have a democratic way of finfing a way.

I am new to this forum. Can anyone give an idea if all what is discussed here is accounted for ? I mean is there any mechanism whereby constructive ideas are relayed to the concerned authorities?? If not then why waste the space and time for topics that are already under debate at larger and wider platforms.
