in the reality all these go toghether....i can start by saying \"only the paranoid survive\"...people and companies usually tend to be complacent with little achievements or successes, and when some thing changes it hurts and these people find it difficult even to survive ....there is nothing like success, and true power and final goals/ambitions ....it is always only the fear about the future, which is the most required i believe.....i am quiet sure the most succsessful in the 5000 years of Mankind History always have a great paranoia, which was balanced with a proper action....these ppl neveer considered themselves to be the most intelligent and were always learnin ...

Hi luci, Thanks for the philosophical write-up.But, i did not want that. My query was only to seek a clear(reasonable) distinction between the three and would like to have a practical discussion than a bookish one. Apologies, for being rigid., but thas what i am enquiring on. Will you be helping put up an improvised one?

Whoa Instinct... if u r so succinct with words, then u shudn\'t be asking this question... well... i\'ll try to answer u anyways... success is something u look for when u have ambition and if luck and talent mix well, u\'ll get there... power depends on what u think success is... To each his own... and as for what matters eventually, it\'s none of these... It\'s the substance in u... called the wherewithal... That\'s as succinct as I can get!

hey buddy, what I said is more practical, the words which you cited are rather more bookish/....i was rather giving my view on your your final question of\" what is that killer combination .. n for that my view was uvcourse \"Paranoia\".....n yup i was giving a small explaination to support my beliefs...., which in turn.....i believe gives a practical reasoning\'/answer to ur\"\"killer combination/career achievement/...\"\" querry...

A simple answer for a complex query. Read the biographies of Bill Gates, George W Bush and Bangaru Laxman!

Glad to have good viewpoints. Why does a person not often reach there to the top even when he/she has substance? Is it the drive which is lacking or the hunger to grow?. What makes people stay at the top and maintain the tenacity of being at the top.I am just treading on the view points and want to really learn about the works. Please do not consider the discussion as a stalemate...just consider this as one which could perhaps lead us to better tomorrow when we wake up.

instinct...u see some thousands of indian engineers coming to USA every yr.......do MS, and a job, most of them are just contractors.....but when u ask them they say they are working for IBM,INtel etc......n are very satisfied...they never think of higher things like bigger positions...rather think only as to how to save a dollar........etc......
do you think all these ppl think of power ambition and success....NO.....these words are bull shit for them, they are happy with the 50K they earn...so i believe it is the hunger\' which makes all the difference...
