best theatres you like in city?

my choice for english : sangeeth, kumar (anand and skyline suck)

telugu : rtc x roads

hindi : maheshwari /parameshwari , santosh/sapna

for rest: LAMBA

as a veteran movie goer, here's my list:

Best Sound: Prasads, Sangeet, Skyline-Sterling, Hitech, Manju, Venkatramana, Anand, Kumar i excluded most other top theaters since they think good sound is ear-shattering high volume, esp in songs

Best A/C: Prasads, Sangeet, Hitech, Devi *never seen em switch off A/C midway*

Best Seats: Manju, Sensation, Hitech, Prasads, Maheshwari, Venkatramana, Tivoli

Best Crowds: Prasads, Sangeet, Anand, Hitech

Best Snackbar: Prasads, Sangeet, Hitech

Best Toilets: Prasads, Hitech, Maheshwari, Tivoli

Best Car Parking:Prasads, Anand, Skyline, Sangeet, Kumar, Lamba

cant think of any other parameters now...

Hi everyone,

I used to love going to hyderabadi theaters when we visited in the winter of 2000. They are fun when you go with a big group of friends or cousins. My personal favorite was Maheshwari and the other theater's name I cant remember.................I only know that you have to go through a smelly fruit market (I think its called mozamjahi market?) to get there.

Also, I noticed Prasads theater toped the charts. Im not familiar with this theater, I believe its a new one, can someone describe it for me please?

well, its a new entertainment center with a 5 screen multiplex n an IMAX screen....the latest hotspot...

btw guys, abt Skyline...its a good theater except that now in comparision to Sangeet n Prasads, it doesnt attract the 'cream' anymore (unless they either want cheap tickets or havent got tickets in other halls). it has one of the best acoustics in town that was good even in the pre digital sound era.

or may be vikrant (now an extension counter of hyd race club) or ashok

BTW Anand is also good i guess....

there this theatre called satyam in ameerpet (only telugu) they too keep the AC going for the entire length of the movie. and,,,they dont give soft drinks in bottles...instead they serve it in a plastic...use and throw glass. but the thing costs 15 bucks man :shock:

5 rupees for teh plastic glass. :evil:

Soon Krishnas is gonna open near prasads. Heard a loot about it. Its gonna be a much hep version of prasads. Its the brainchild of G.V. Krishna Reddy of Taj Krishna Fame.

Meera is a below average place. but its twin Sensation is quite sensational!

they are still among the best in town...too bad they are in some distant godforsaken suburb....they have a gang of men scrubbing the marble lobby n stairways between every show...!!!!
