Need help to Adopt a kid from Hyderabad

Hi friends,

I am an NRI from hyderabad currently in US. Me and my wife are planning to adopt an orphan kid from hyderabad. We already have a kid. We are planning to go to India after 2 months from now for one month. Basically we are planning to adopt a child (who is really an orphan) from an orphan home. I need help regarding adopting a kid:



1) How do we find about orphan homes who give kids for adoption (Are there websites/contacts) ?



2) Since we plan to stay in India for one month, can we finish off this process of adopting and getting the kid a dependent VISA in one month?



3) If we have to adopt, What is the procedure to adopt a kid in India?



4) Does the adopted kid need a Dependent VISA or any special VISA?



5) We are planning to adopt a child who has the same age as our kid (2 years old). Are there any restrictions on age ?



6) How much does it cost for the procedure(s) (not for raising the kid)?



7) I read in newspapers before that there are scams in adoption. What are the issues that I need to take care of so that I will not be part of a scam or will not be cheated?



Kindly help me and answer as many questions as possible. You are free to give answers to questions and issues that I may not have posed here and you feel that I need to take care of.
