Mourning -2

A Young Life ...

* In the Intervening Night of Wednesday / Thursday, a Cheerful and Helpful Younger Brother of My Brother-in-Law, Husband of My Sister, perished in an Auto Accident outside Hyderabad.

* He was asked by his Boss to attend a Meeting the Next Morning at a Remote Place near Warangal. Noramally, he would have left for that place by an early morning direct bus … The “Boss’s” ‘Must’ Order made him leave shortly after the Night Meal. He reached a place near the “Meeting Place” around 2 AM … with no onward Bus available to take him to his Destination … He got into an Auto along with Two Others to go to a Place for Onward Bus Connection.

* The Auto Fellow seemed to be in a hurry - as they normally are – and going Fast … He wanted to change the “Cassette” for some “blaring” Music to entertain his Passengers and to keep himself, awake, perhaps … He could have stopped and done what he wanted … He bent to change … saw a speeding Lorry rushing towards his Auto … he lost control … he jumped out and ran away … the other two too ran away probably injured after the Auto somersaulted into the Roadside Ditches near the Culvert …

* The Young “Cousin” of mine must have hit the Auto Rod(s) and instantaneously died … He was found unmoved and seated … Next Morning by some Eenadu Journalist who saw the Auto in a Ditch …

* The 46 Year Old Banker due for aPromotio Shortly, Happy Father of a Brilliant Computer Engineering Student Boy and a Budding Bio-Technologist Girl and Gentle Husband of a Beloved Wife, is NO MORE … This is difficult to hear as well as believe or bear with this tragic Fact of Fate …

* A number of Questions / Aspects arise … Why did the “Boss” say “Must” to the Meeting … The Auto Design with Rods Everywhere are Deathtraps even in Normal Traffic … Either the Users must wear Helmets OR the Rods have to be padded … Why this Craze for Music / Noise in a Moving Vehicle which is more distracting and menacing, in fact Fatal as in this Case … The Condemnable Behaviour of the Driver and Co-Passengers in Running Away.

The Eldest Brother (My Brother-in-Law) of the Deceased is a Doctor in Rural Area of Coastal Andhra … One Ever Helpful and Cheerful … He has been a Source of Inspiration and Help to ALL his Kith & Kin and Friends … I can only Mourn and Pray for Grace of the Almighty to him, his Brothers and Sisters in their Time of Grief.

How unfortunate and tragic. That $%(#@%*# boss, couldnt he have asked him to leave for his trip the next morning :(

.... the Auto guy... what was so _ important about the music?

autorickshaw injuries & deaths are becoming commonplace nowadays. the govt should look into the safety of this mode of transport. sigh, which it might never do because of the rickshawallah unions etc.

Sorry to hear about ur relative passing away in such abominable circumstances. If there is one thing i hate to see on the roads it is bad driving and auto-wallas are the worst of the lot, esp. the ones with annoyingly loud music blaring out! I hope some kind of a rule comes out which will refrain these ppl from such distractions n make the roads safer.

Im very sorry for your tragic loss, HH-bhai. I know its even harder to accept it considering how avoidable the accident was. I wish you and your family the strength and patience to get through this emotionally excruciating ordeal. May your cousin's soul rest in peace. :(

May you be treated to a song
And heaven cracks

Sorry to hear about your loss HH. My prayers are with the family.

Autos are a death trap, plus some of them are drunk when they drive. :x

Thank You, BW, ... I went by "decibels" ... Music, I feel, should be soft and soothing, especially in public places like CCD ... Especially, when people drive off / "driven off" of the Street for a Cheering Cup of Coffee and when they want to converse with one another ... Of course, this is my perspective  ... My son, a budding computer engineering student, is like you and enjoys Your Music ... Blazing / Blaring Away ... Even Music from Walkman / Talkman CDs escapes into the Environment ... "No Place to Retreat" for me Literally

Thank You, For Commiserating ... "Azazel", "Alexis", "Asli_Badmash", and "Habitual Perfectionist". We miss the "Man", but cherish his "Memory" ... He was thoughtful for his Family ... He provided Funds for the Education of his College-Going Son & Daughter through Insurance Policy of Tatas.
