There is no one within 200 Km of you for a coffee?...NZ is small right...I thougt it would have more number of people for a small country.

nah newzealand is not that small...its definetly bigger than AP... and the population is is less than Hyderabad... so that makes the population density very low ...

Its not just me who call JS as the king of ghazals... its many people. I believe he has a God give of melody. Can any one ever forget Wo Kagaz ki kashti, la pila de sharab ai saqi, Koi fariyad (recent one), and there is a list.

The old names endure - Begum Akhtar, K.L.Saigal, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Talat Mahmood, and JS also. Ghulam Ali and Mehdi Hassan. Pankaj Udhas were of course the fathers of ghazals, no doubt. These big men with a magical combination of beautiful lyrics and dulcet voices have enabled ghazals and ghazal singers to leave an indelible mark on the hearts and souls of ghazal listeners everywhere.

Unfortunately, the recent years have seen a steady decline in the standard of ghazal singers and ghazal 'gaayaki'. JS brought the tread back in to society and is ruling many hearts now.
