At the very beginning of his book, "The Nehru Dynasty", astrologer K. N. Rao mentions the names of Jawahar Lal's father and grandfather. Jawahar
Lal's father was believed to be Moti Lal and Moti Lal's father was one Gangadhar Nehru. And we all know that Jawahar Lal's only daughter was Indira Priyadarshini Nehru; Kamala Nehru was her mother, who died in
Switzerland of tuberculosis. She was totally against Indira's proposed marriage with Feroze.
Why? No one tells us that !
Now, who is this Feroze? We are told by many that he was the son of the family grocer. The grocer supplied wines, etc. to Anand Bhavan, previously known as Ishrat Manzil, which once belonged to a Muslim lawyer named Mobarak Ali. Moti Lal was earlier an employee of Mobarak Ali.
What was the family grocer's name? One frequently hears that Rajiv Gandhi's grandfather was Pandit Nehru. But then we all know that everyone has two grandfathers, the paternal and the maternal grandfathers. In fact, the paternal grandfather is deemed to be the
more important grandfather in most societies. Why is it then no where we find Rajiv Gandhi's paternal grandfather's name?
It appears that the reason is simply this- Rajiv Gandhi's paternal grandfather was a Muslim gentleman from the Junagadh area of Gujarat.
This Muslim grocer by the name of Nawab Khan, had married a Parsi woman after converting her to Islam.
This is the source where from the myth of Rajiv being a Parsi was derived. Rajiv's father Feroze was Feroze Khan before he married Indira, against Kamala Nehru's wishes. Feroze's mother's family name was
Ghandy, often associated with Parsis and this was changed to Gandhi, sometime after his wedding with Indira, by an affidavit.
The fact of the matter is that (and this fact can be found in many writings) Indira was very lonely. Chased out of the Shantiniketan University by
Guru Dev Rabindranath himself for misdemeanor, the lonely girl was all by herself, while father Jawahar was busy with politics, pretty women and illicit sex; the mother was in hospital.
Feroze Khan, the grocer's son was then in England and he was quite sympathetic to Indira and soon enough she changed her religion, became a Muslim and married Feroze Khan in a London mosque.
Nehru was not happy; Kamala was dead already or dying. The news of this marriage eventually reached Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Gandhi urgently called Nehru and practically ordered him to ask the young
man to change his name from Khan to Gandhi. It had nothing to do with change of religion, from Islam to Hinduism for instance. It was just a case of a change of name by an affidavit. And so Feroze Khan became Feroze Gandhi. The surprising thing is that the apostle of truth, the old man soon to be declared India's Mahatma and the 'Father of the Nation' didn't mention this game of his in the famous book, 'My Experiments with Truth'. Why?
When they returned to India, a mock 'Vedic marriage' was instituted for public consumption. On this subject, writes M. O. Mathai (a longtime private secretary of Nehru) in his renowned (but now suppressed by the GOI) 'Reminiscences of the Nehru Age' on page 94, second paragraph: "For some inexplicable reason, Nehru allowed the marriage
to be performed according to Vedic rites in 1942. An inter-religious and inter-caste marriage under Vedic rites at that time was not valid in law. To be legal, it had to be a civil marriage.
It's a known fact that after Rajiv's birth Indira and Feroze lived separately, but they were not divorced. Feroze used to harass Nehru frequently for money and also interfere in Nehru's political activities.
Nehru got fed up and left instructions not to allow him into the Prime Minister's residence Trimurthi Bhavan. Mathai writes that the death of Feroze came as a relief to Nehru and Indira.
The death of Feroze in 1960 before he could consolidate his own
political forces, is itself a mystery. Feroze had even planned to remarry.
Those who try to keep tabs on our leaders in spite of all the suppressions and deliberate misinformation, are aware of the fact that the second son of Indira (or Mrs. Feroze Khan) known as Sanjay Gandhi was not the son of Feroze. He was the son of another Moslem gentleman, Mohammad Yunus.
Here, in passing, we might mention that the second son was originally named Sanjiv. It rhymed with Rajiv, the elder brother's name. It was changed to Sanjay when he was arrested by the British police in England and his passport impounded, for having stolen a car. Krishna Menon was then India's High Commissioner in London. He offered to issue another
passport to the felon who changed his name to Sanjay.
Incidentally, Sanjay's marriage with the Sikh girl Menaka (now they call her Maneka for Indira Gandhi found the name of Lord Indra's court dancer
rather offensive!) took place quite surprisingly in Mohammad Yunus' house in New Delhi. And the marriage with Menaka who was a model (She had modeled for Bombay Dyeing wearing just a towel) was not so
ordinary either. Sanjay was notorious in getting unwed young women pregnant. Menaka too was rendered pregnant by Sanjay. It was then that her father, Colonel Anand, threatened Sanjay with dire consequences if he did not marry his daughter.
And that did the trick. Sanjay married Menaka. It was widely reported in Delhi at the time that Mohammad Yunus was unhappy at the marriage of
Sanjay with Menaka; apparently he had wanted to get him married with a Muslim girl of his choice. It was Mohammad Yunus who cried the most when Sanjay died in the plane accident.
In Yunus' book, 'Persons, Passions & Politics' one discovers that baby Sanjay had been circumcised following Islamic custom, although the reason stated was phimosis. It was always believed that Sanjay used to blackmail Indira Gandhi and due to this she used to turn a blind eye when Sanjay Gandhi started to run the country as though it were his personal fiefdom. Was he blackmailing her with the secret of who his real father
was?
When the news of Sanjay's death reached Indira Gandhi, the first thing she wanted to know was about the bunch of keys which Sanjay had with him.
Nehru was no less a player in producing bastards. At least one case is very graphically described by M.O. Mathai in his "Reminiscences of the Nehru Age", page 206. Mathai writes: "In the autumn of 1948 (India became free in 1947 and a great deal of work needed to be done) a young woman from Benares arrived in New Delhi as a sanyasin named
Shraddha Mata (an assumed and not a real name). She was a Sanskrit scholar well versed in the ancient Indian scriptures and mythology. People, including MPs, thronged to her to hear her discourses.
One day S. D. Upadhyaya, Nehru's old employee, brought a letter in Hindi from Shraddha Mata. Nehru gave her an interview in the PM's house. As she departed, I noticed (Mathai is speaking here) that she was young, shapely and beautiful. Meetings with her became rather frequent, mostly after Nehru finished his work at night. During one of Nehru's visits to Lucknow, Shraddha Mata turned up there, and Upadhyaya brought a letter from her as usual. Nehru sent her the reply; and she visited Nehru
at midnight...
"Suddenly Shraddha Mata disappeared. In November 1949 a convent in Bangalore sent a decent looking person to Delhi with a bundle of letters. He said that a young woman from northern India arrived at the convent a few months ago and gave birth to a baby boy. She refused to divulge her name or give any particulars about herself. She left the convent as soon as she was well enough to move out but left the child behind. She however forgot to take with her a small cloth bundle in which, among other things, several letters in Hindi were found. The Mother Superior, who was a foreigner, had the letters examined and was told they were from the Prime Minister. The person who brought the letters surrendered them...
"I (Mathai) made discreet inquiries repeatedly about the boy but failed to get a clue about his whereabouts. Convents in such matters are extremely
tightlipped and secretive. Had I succeeded in locating the boy, I would have adopted him. He must have grown up as a Catholic Christian blissfully ignorant of who his father was."
Coming back to Rajiv Gandhi, we all know now that he changed his so called Parsi religion to become a Catholic to marry Sania Maino of Turin, Italy. Rajiv became Roberto. His daughter's name is Bianca and son's name is Raul. Quite cleverly the same names are presented to the people of India as Priyanka and Rahul. What is amazing is the extent of our
people's ignorance in such matters.
The press conference that Rajiv Gandhi gave in London after taking over as prime minister of India was very informative. In this press conference,
Rajiv boasted that he was NOT a Hindu but a Parsi. Mind you, speaking of the Parsi religion, he had no Parsi ancestor at all. His grandmother (father's mother) had turned Muslim after having abandoned the Parsi religion to marry Nawab Khan.
The encyclopedias recorded that Rajiv was a qualified Mechanical Engineer from the revered University of Cambridge. The reality is that in all three years of his tenure at that University Rajiv had not passed a single examination. He had therefore to leave Cambridge without a certificate.
Sonia too had the same benevolent treatment. She was stated to be a student in Cambridge. Such a description is calculated to mislead Indians.
She was a student in Cambridge all right but not of the University of Cambridge but of one of those fly by night language schools where foreign students come to learn English. Sonia was working as an 'au
pair' (nanny) girl in Cambridge and trying to learn English at the same time.
And surprise of surprises, 'Parsi' Rajiv was even cremated as per vedic rites in full view of India's public.
This is the Nehru dynasty that India worships and now an Italian leads a prestigious national party because of just one qualification - being
married into the Nehru family. Maneka Gandhi herself is being accepted by the non-Congress parties not because she was a former model or an animal lover, but for her links to the Nehru family.
Saying that an Italian should not lead India will amount to narrow mindedness, but if Sania Maino (Sonia) had served India like say Mother Teresa or Annie Besant, i.e. in anyway on her own rights, then all Indians
should be proud of her just as how proud we are of Mother Teresa.

I had read this article some 2-3 years back, was quite shocked then. I dont know how true it could b nor do i want to form any opinions.guess all this happens in politics and besides everyone has a personal life. I wouldnt want to know whats happ in anyones personal life be it the prime minister of india.

It's not about wanting to know what happens in someone's personal life. It is about the persons in some of the biggest public offices of the country lying to the people. That was the same case with Clinton - the problem was not him sleeping with an intern - it was about the P of the US lying under oath.

I don't know what you are referring to, MB. What achievements? The biggest achievement of all PMs of India has been getting into power - nothing that they've done while in it. I agree that for most men (excepting those born into the Nehru family) it is a huge achievement to become the PM of India. But achievement as a PM is how well you've performed in improving the lot of the people.
What did Nehru do? < 5% growth for over 30 years. What did Indira and Rajiv do that makes them achievers? There are a million other Indians capable of doing a better job of running the country than they did. Anybody who was PM would have 'achieved' the stuff they did. They just kept looking at a machinery that was already running on its own - they did not do anything to dramatically improve its functioning. No PM made us grow at 7-8%, even in those days when the base (the earlier year's GDP) was low. Narasimha Rao liberalized because we had no forex left, not because he was a visionary. Vajpayee was the senile septuagenarian who lorded over the biggest massacre in the history of independent India, grabbing with drooling elan the legal loophole that law and order was a state subject and so the Center could not intervene, when his crony was supervising hundreds getting butchered each day. I haven't seen more ecstatically genocidal logic than that. He could have sent 20 million companies of the Armed Forces in 5 hours if he wanted, and sealed Gujarat up. To me, he is the biggest villian of the '90s. Sheesh, Veerappan didn't even come close to the numbers Vajpayee notched up.

However, what I'd said originally is this. We should have no problem with whatever Nehru did for sexual gratification (if at all he did) that was not illegal or not adultery. You should remember that sex is a basic need, that his wife was no more, and that it's difficult for a man to stay celibate forever. Same with Indira Gandhi, too. Why should a woman abstain all her life if her husband's left her?
The point is that they lied. If you want to occupy the highest offices in the land, then you cannot lie to the people, since you are expected to be a role model. You can't both have your cake and eat it, too. If you want to satisfy all your desires but want to lie about them, too, you certainly cannot be my Prime Minister.

I had always wondered about Sanjay and Feroz Gandhi, their lives and their deaths. Maybe this is the truth !
What is interesting to note is how The Nehru family did everything to hide the truth and stay in power for more than 30 years. Like we dont have any other person to lead our country. What makes me mad is the fact that events were shaped to favour the family image and preserve power within the family. NEPOTISM!
I beleive Pandit Nehru, started the trend of Nepotism in India with Indira and congress later followed it with Rajiv, now Sonia, then later Rahul and Priyanka. And we call laalu names when he made his wife the CM when he went to jail. Pandit Nehru is the reason why people now choose to seat their near and dear on places of Power. Also, what is interesting to note is, dynamic leader like Madhav Rao Scindia mysteriuosly die when he seems to be gaining clout in Congress. Makes me wonder what kind of political game is going on in India.
Dont we have any good leader in India who is capable of leading Congress. That we have to now think about voting for Gandhi family...

Sonia Gandhi - What a farse ?
What's there in the Name ?? only qualification is a surname : Gandhi. Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi , Juanita Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ; Raihan Rajeev Vadra Gandhi , Miraya Vadra Gandhi ... & more to follow ; this only includes the legend Nehru - Gandhi's , and does not qualifies any other " Gandhi's" ; NO TUSHAR GANDHI !!! nor Mahatma Gandhi's family .
Questions have been raised whether Sonia Maino/Gandhi is an Indian, whether she should be entrusted with heading what she calls the government of "Secular Nationalism" to oppose BJP's government of "Hindu Nationalism/Communalism." She is now the President of the Gandhi's Congress Party and has the ambitions to be the Prime Minister of India, she is no longer a private person. As a public person that she now is, she is not beyond the pale of public scrutiny, nor is she immune from uncomfortable questions that might arise about her, from a glimpse into her past life and into her background
Sonia now proclaims that she is "an Indian till her last breath." The striking thing about this crisp announcement is that she made this claim only after she entered political life, as the President of the Congress Party, not before that. Not only that but she married Rajiv Gandhi in 1968 and was entitled to seek Indian Citizenship in five years, in the year of 1973. But she did not seek Indian citizenship in 1973 either, even though entitled, but waited until 1984, when necessity kicked her stern to quickly acquire Indian Citizenship to enable her husband Rajiv Gandhi become the Prime Minister of India, upon the death of his Mother Indira Gandhi. Even in 1984, she was very reluctant to seek Indian citizenship and changed her mind only when Rajiv Gandhi and the other "Bahu" of the household, Maneka Gandhi, pointed out to her that it would be very awkward for her husband, Rajiv Gandhi, as the Prime Minister of India, to have an Italian spouse. Unashamedly and unmistakably, Sonia now is making a righteous virtue (claim of being "an Indian till her last breath") out of something that was sine qua non needed and was purely a dire political necessity of 1984.
Was her failure to seek Indian citizenship in 1973 an act of omission or oversight? Neither of the two. It was an act of deliberate decision on her part to retain her Italian Citizenship. Note this that in the year of 1971, during the Bangladesh War between India and Pakistan, all Indian Airlines pilots (except her husband Rajiv Gandhi) were put on standby status, for providing logistic support under the emergency provisions. However, Rajiv Gandhi, a full-time pilot with Indian Airlines, Sonia Gandhi, and their two children flew off to Italy at the very start of the Bangladesh War. All indigenous Indian Airlines pilots stood by to serve their Motherland. But Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia, and their two children spent the entire duration of the Bangladesh War in far-off Italy, away from the turmoil of India. She abandoned her Mother-in-Law Indra Gandhi and fled from India during the hour of her testing and trial, putting to proof her loyalty and fidelity to India and her people, whom she abandoned. So much for Sonia's loyalty to India and her Phony Claim of "the Indian till her last breath."
Record, therefore, clearly establishes that she was more than impatient to desert her Mother-in-Law and her famous Gandhi Dynasty, at least twice. Funnily, it is the same Gandhi dynasty that she now espouses so eagerly and uses and flaunts it as her greatest asset. Because she fled from India in 1971, in the hour of her need, it exposes the hollowness of her claim of being "an Indian till her last breath."
Another case in point of Patriotism of Sonia and her family: Sonia Gandhi's son Rahul , who is also contesting this election is engaged /married to Juanita ,an Colombian , whose uncles in Colombia has nefarious antecedents and are reportedly a wanted persons in that country. having reportedly business & interests in drugs and other illicit businesses. Her daughter Priyanka Varda has married an Anglo-Indian named Robert Varda. The family have shown their contempt for the vast majority of Indians by distancing themselves culturally from the Indians.
The above record establishes clearly and conspicuously that this new about-face of "loyalty" on the part of Sonia, bears witness not of a sign and seal of her fervent love for India or her great regard for the Gandhi Dynasty but is her cogitation of naked opportunism and a pragmatic desire to take advantage of a ready-made political situation wherein the Congress Party is in deep deep trouble, and is desperately in need of somebody to bail it out. With her Gandhi name ( along with her white skin, which seizes the mind of the un-educated, unsophisticated voters of India), Congressi king-makers regard Sonia as a humongous political asset which can be used to revive the beat-up/run-down, dilapidated Congress Party, which otherwise has no chance of "getting up" unless drastic measures are availed of. Choice of Sonia is an act of desperation on the part of the big-whigs of the Congress Establishment. It is absolutely astounding that the Congress Establishment could not find a leader, from amongst the India-born persons, whose loyalty and technical competence cannot be challenged, and that the Congress Party is utterly dependent, to keep itself alive, upon the usage of a dynasty (Gandhi Dynasty) name, suitably supported by white skin.
Upon serious scrutiny, it becomes clear that the choice, by the Congress Establishment, of a person of the caliber (as explained below) of Sonia Gandhi, looks like an act of stupor and imbecility, nevertheless, this act of imbecility could still end up making Sonia as the Prime Minister of India. It is said that "Whom the Gods wish to destroy, they first turn him mad". It would be engaging now to watch the ensuing developments, as they unfold, inside the Congress Palace.
The above status/situation, however, does not rule out the possibility that her citizenship, loyalty, and technical qualifications will not be challenged, either before, during, or after the election. They will be challenged, you can count upon that and the consequences of these challenges could be very embarrassing not only for Sonia but for the entire Congress Establishment. One always hopes that God would give some sense to the Congress Big-Whigs but that is expecting a lot. The Congress-Wallas are more interested in their personal interests and political advantages than in what is good for the country. The country could go to hell, for all they care and that is not an exaggeration either!
Sonia's Double Citizenship: Sonia obtained her Indian citizenship (as a Naturalized Indian Citizen) in 1984 but she did not surrender her Italian citizenship. She continues simultaneously to be a citizen of Italy (along with her status as a naturalized citizen of India). This is made possible because the Italian Law does not require her to surrender her Italian citizenship or her Italian Passport. Even if Sonia surrenders her Italian Passport to Indian authorities, Italian government can issue her a new Italian Passport. Simply put, Sonia is a dual-citizen, of Italy and India and is now dreaming of becoming the Prime Minister of India (she could also legally become the Prime Minister of Italy!). She is verily a Double-Dipper.
Since Sonia's citizenship is via naturalization, it is vulnerable to revocation under several types of circumstances such as evidence of wrong-doing and misbehavior, including participation in the Bofors Guns deal. She has been reported to have recently met Signor Quattrochhi, one of the creatures wanted by the Indian courts in Bofors Investigation. Ms Sonia cannot be considered as Ms Clean and her future could also be the four walls of the jail cell. Sonia can try to throw dust in the eyes of the illiterate people of India (with slogans of "Indian till her last breath") and can believe that every one in India can be fooled and that every one in India is driven by selfish interest and personal greed, but this is naive and her dual citizenship stands plainly exposed... and questions are going to be asked more...and more.
Sonia's Education: Sonia met Rajiv Gandhi at Cambridge University, but neither she nor Rajiv got any degree from the Cambridge University. In fact, Sonia was not even a student at Cambridge University but went to one of private teaching schools in the city for lessons in English language. It is reported that Sonia was a house-maid in the city of Cambridge and that Sonia hails from a poor family in Italy...however, her fortunes have now changed, she is no longer the White Trash Of Italy, that she once was, and at this time she possesses almost as much money as Bill Gates. It is said she passed the Metric Examination (some have even reported that she is Metric Failed) but regardless she has no college level education. Period. She speaks English with a broken Italian accent. She knows a few words of Hindi and speaks them with an Italian accent. While trying to converse in Hindi, she often misunderstands the meanings of simple words as she did during a recent conversation with Mullayam Singh Yadav.
The Western press makes a big deal about her knowledge of Hindi and constantly talks about Sonia Gandhi's skill in the Hindi language. This is as false and as misleading as can be. The truth is that her knowledge of Hindi cannot be considered even passable. Her Hindi Handicap gets unmasked when you notice that she barely speaks half-a-dozen words of broken Hindi, before reverting to Italian-accented English! Some countries in the West are happy with her knowledge of Hindi, because the thought of a white woman controlling nearly 1 BILLION BROWN INDIANS, excites their colonial imagination!
Her familiarity with other Indian languages, culture, or Indian History is ZERO. These are strong issues, they are not going to go away and questions will be asked and will require to be answered...certainly from a person who is aspiring to be the Prime Minister of India. Her strategy is to gain control of the government by whatever it takes, by hook or crook.
A question that may be asked is this: Why is Sonia in such a desperate hot-hurry? Is she herself facing threats from someone?
Because : "that it is inconceivable that a woman of Sonia's economic and social background in Italy suddenly coming into so much wealth would fail to attract the attention of criminal elements. What is the 'external force' behind Sonia, he asks and then explains that this is easy to answer. The methodology, of using blackmail with threats of economic destruction smacks of the Vatican-Mafia. (The Vatican is the world's most powerful Mafia.) Vatican Mafia Dons, with their champagne haze, would certainly be interested in some of this easy money!

Even in 1984, she was very reluctant to seek Indian citizenship and changed her mind only when Rajiv Gandhi and the other "Bahu" of the household, Maneka Gandhi, pointed out to her that it would be very awkward for her husband, Rajiv Gandhi, as the Prime Minister of India, to have an Italian spouse. Unashamedly and unmistakably, Sonia now is making a righteous virtue (claim of being "an Indian till her last breath") out of something that was sine qua non needed and was purely a dire political necessity of 1984.
Was her failure to seek Indian citizenship in 1973 an act of omission or oversight? Neither of the two. It was an act of deliberate decision on her part to retain her Italian Citizenship. Note this that in the year of 1971, during the Bangladesh War between India and Pakistan, all Indian Airlines pilots (except her husband Rajiv Gandhi) were put on standby status, for providing logistic support under the emergency provisions. However, Rajiv Gandhi, a full-time pilot with Indian Airlines, Sonia Gandhi, and their two children flew off to Italy at the very start of the Bangladesh War. All indigenous Indian Airlines pilots stood by to serve their Motherland. But Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia, and their two children spent the entire duration of the Bangladesh War in far-off Italy, away from the turmoil of India. She abandoned her Mother-in-Law Indra Gandhi and fled from India during the hour of her testing and trial, putting to proof her loyalty and fidelity to India and her people, whom she abandoned. So much for Sonia's loyalty to India and her Phony Claim of "the Indian till her last breath."
Record, therefore, clearly establishes that she was more than impatient to desert her Mother-in-Law and her famous Gandhi Dynasty, at least twice. Funnily, it is the same Gandhi dynasty that she now espouses so eagerly and uses and flaunts it as her greatest asset. Because she fled from India in 1971, in the hour of her need, it exposes the hollowness of her claim of being "an Indian till her last breath."
Another case in point of Patriotism of Sonia and her family: Sonia Gandhi's son Rahul , who is also contesting this election is engaged /married to Juanita ,an Colombian , whose uncles in Colombia has nefarious antecedents and are reportedly a wanted persons in that country. having reportedly business & interests in drugs and other illicit businesses. Her daughter Priyanka Varda has married an Anglo-Indian named Robert Varda. The family have shown their contempt for the vast majority of Indians by distancing themselves culturally from the Indians.
The above record establishes clearly and conspicuously that this new about-face of "loyalty" on the part of Sonia, bears witness not of a sign and seal of her fervent love for India or her great regard for the Gandhi Dynasty but is her cogitation of naked opportunism and a pragmatic desire to take advantage of a ready-made political situation wherein the Congress Party is in deep deep trouble, and is desperately in need of somebody to bail it out. With her Gandhi name ( along with her white skin, which seizes the mind of the un-educated, unsophisticated voters of India), Congressi king-makers regard Sonia as a humongous political asset which can be used to revive the beat-up/run-down, dilapidated Congress Party, which otherwise has no chance of "getting up" unless drastic measures are availed of. Choice of Sonia is an act of desperation on the part of the big-whigs of the Congress Establishment. It is absolutely astounding that the Congress Establishment could not find a leader, from amongst the India-born persons, whose loyalty and technical competence cannot be challenged, and that the Congress Party is utterly dependent, to keep itself alive, upon the usage of a dynasty (Gandhi Dynasty) name, suitably supported by white skin.
Upon serious scrutiny, it becomes clear that the choice, by the Congress Establishment, of a person of the caliber (as explained below) of Sonia Gandhi, looks like an act of stupor and imbecility, nevertheless, this act of imbecility could still end up making Sonia as the Prime Minister of India. It is said that "Whom the Gods wish to destroy, they first turn him mad". It would be engaging now to watch the ensuing developments, as they unfold, inside the Congress Palace.
The above status/situation, however, does not rule out the possibility that her citizenship, loyalty, and technical qualifications will not be challenged, either before, during, or after the election. They will be challenged, you can count upon that and the consequences of these challenges could be very embarrassing not only for Sonia but for the entire Congress Establishment. One always hopes that God would give some sense to the Congress Big-Whigs but that is expecting a lot. The Congress-Wallas are more interested in their personal interests and political advantages than in what is good for the country. The country could go to hell, for all they care and that is not an exaggeration either!
Sonia's Double Citizenship: Sonia obtained her Indian citizenship (as a Naturalized Indian Citizen) in 1984 but she did not surrender her Italian citizenship. She continues simultaneously to be a citizen of Italy (along with her status as a naturalized citizen of India). This is made possible because the Italian Law does not require her to surrender her Italian citizenship or her Italian Passport. Even if Sonia surrenders her Italian Passport to Indian authorities, Italian government can issue her a new Italian Passport. Simply put, Sonia is a dual-citizen, of Italy and India and is now dreaming of becoming the Prime Minister of India (she could also legally become the Prime Minister of Italy!). She is verily a Double-Dipper.
Since Sonia's citizenship is via naturalization, it is vulnerable to revocation under several types of circumstances such as evidence of wrong-doing and misbehavior, including participation in the Bofors Guns deal. She has been reported to have recently met Signor Quattrochhi, one of the creatures wanted by the Indian courts in Bofors Investigation. Ms Sonia cannot be considered as Ms Clean and her future could also be the four walls of the jail cell. Sonia can try to throw dust in the eyes of the illiterate people of India (with slogans of "Indian till her last breath") and can believe that every one in India can be fooled and that every one in India is driven by selfish interest and personal greed, but this is naive and her dual citizenship stands plainly exposed... and questions are going to be asked more...and more.
Sonia's Education: Sonia met Rajiv Gandhi at Cambridge University, but neither she nor Rajiv got any degree from the Cambridge University. In fact, Sonia was not even a student at Cambridge University but went to one of private teaching schools in the city for lessons in English language. It is reported that Sonia was a house-maid in the city of Cambridge and that Sonia hails from a poor family in Italy...however, her fortunes have now changed, she is no longer the White Trash Of Italy, that she once was, and at this time she possesses almost as much money as Bill Gates. It is said she passed the Metric Examination (some have even reported that she is Metric Failed) but regardless she has no college level education. Period. She speaks English with a broken Italian accent. She knows a few words of Hindi and speaks them with an Italian accent. While trying to converse in Hindi, she often misunderstands the meanings of simple words as she did during a recent conversation with Mullayam Singh Yadav.
The Western press makes a big deal about her knowledge of Hindi and constantly talks about Sonia Gandhi's skill in the Hindi language. This is as false and as misleading as can be. The truth is that her knowledge of Hindi cannot be considered even passable. Her Hindi Handicap gets unmasked when you notice that she barely speaks half-a-dozen words of broken Hindi, before reverting to Italian-accented English! Some countries in the West are happy with her knowledge of Hindi, because the thought of a white woman controlling nearly 1 BILLION BROWN INDIANS, excites their colonial imagination!

Why in the Hell should Sonia Gandhi be a leader in India, in the first place? India lacks leaders of that stature, whose skin is white and the accent is of foriegn origin ? Other than that, what does she have over the lakshmiammas or the seetalus or the bai's ? Atleast our Bai's may be having more patriotism than this woman ! Come on guys ! It is a shame that you have to look 'out' for somebody to 'lead' you . As if India does not have the capacity to produce leaders !

my only grouse against Sonia is her hesitation in accepting Indian citizenship after marrying Rajiv.
