SAARC-on EU lines

by ZC » Fri Mar 26, 2004 9:37 am

We have problems with Pak and Bangladesh and a bit with Srilanka. Nepal and Bhutan people deosnt need Visa and are welcome to study in Indian universities. Maldives also doesnt have problems with us. I think, slowly the Indian Universities shud be opened to all countries other than Pak and Bangladesh, then introduce the free movement of people also...... we can think of Pak and Bdesh slowly.......

50 years n still so much of bad blood b/w Ind/Pak ..

gettin somethin done on the EU lines withe SAARC nations seems too high an expectation.. esp. when there is Ind/Pak involved

good idea, tho it wud take time to have an arrangement with pakistan n bangladesh. nepal wudnt be an easy cake walk for us either - they harbour lots of resentment against new delhi...

but if such an agreement does materialize...wow...imagine the possibilities!

they've been workin rapidly for this 'peace' for sometime now..

hope this time turns out to be genuine n not just an election stunt!

also, SAARC on EU lines will open up all sorts of gr8 possibilities..

lets send a petition in this regrad to the PM, signed by FHies
