Today I happened to see the old British buildings of Madras. The one the present day 'Rajaji hall' was the then old British Banquet hall. When I heard related stories , I was informed the the lavish building was constucted to commemorate the British victory over indigenous Tipu in the year 1799.. A ceremonial most lavish anti Indian dinner honoring that particular victory was hosted at that place.
I instantaneously developed intense sadness and flashing pain in my abdomen in favour of Tipu sultan.I myself felt humiliated thinking about that old White dinner.
Some way or other Tipu was a early FREEDOM FIGHTER.
Do you all agree?
