This is not the right season to go to goa and u would not be able to enjoy the beaches because of this cold weather................anyway if u go go to anjuna beach and baina beach........

this is just the right season. and its carnival time too. if its hot, beach is no fun (especially with the humidity) and the tide is too high during the rains, they dont allow you into the water. i went once in oct and once in nov. i always wanted to visit during this carnival time.

Hyd to Goa....hmmm....all I can make out is that we have a cheap imitation of Bombay to Goa...that too in Black n white.

hey!
 this is the perfect time to visit Goa...and costliest too esp between Dec25 and Jan2nd. Peak Season.
 
 IF u get there, the best way to have fun is to buy a map, hire a 2-wheeler (abt Rs. 200 - 250 per day in peak season...take yr driving licence), and explore the beautiful state on yr own. the state is very clean n\' safe and the scenery would make the ride great fun. and u can spend all the time u want in beaches.
 
 If u r a foodie like me, Goa is heaven...with food from all over India and the world. IF u eat non-veg dont miss Goan cuisine.
 
 If u drink do try the FENI and Port Wines. Liquor is dirt cheap.

Dude, how abt places to stay? any affordable hotels or is Leela Beach the only good one arnd?

there are 1000s of places to suit all pockets. Avoid all star resorts since most of yr activities wud remain within the resorts or on guided tours.
 all the towns and villages, esp those near beaches have decent hotels/lodges/rooms. remember that in this season all rooms cost more than normal esp 25th dec to jan 1.
 i landed in panaji on 31st dec and my 2-* hotel charged 950 a day. on jan 2nd, they offered it for 650 and i bargained it down to 550 for the remainder of my stay!
 
 my advice is dont spend too much on hotel rooms. u wont be spending much time in the room anyway. opt for a small and clean lodging and spend more on having food, drinks, sight-seeing n\' having fun.

there\'s a direct train from hyderabad to Vasco-da-Gama in goa. i think it goes twice a week and is called \"haripriya exp.\"
 
 there r also overnight sleeper busses, but i recommend that as the last resort.

Yaa dud you get plenty of them no worry, different age groups and category also.. beware of the four letter \"AIDS\" which is also comes attched to the companion you are looking for Dud... all the best,,,and dont forget about the nude camp... enoy.. and you have APSRTC VOLVO buses frm HYD to Goa./.
