Cell phone rates?

Hi guys, I am planning to visit hyd for a couple of months. So used to having a phone with me all the time...was wondering my options are for getting a cellphone and some reasonable plans...Can you educate me on what\'s out there?

You sure it\'s a good idea to get a post-paid connection if you\'re only going to be here a coupla months? In case prepaid is your bag, Hutch has nice perks, but sucks on it\'s network. Airtel has great network but sucks on customer service. And an Idea can change your life

go for Airtel magic (prepaid) ,their voice clarity is unbeatable all over

Can you give me some idea of the pricing(for the phone, minute buckets etc etc? I assume when you say pre-paid, you purchase a card or something that you insert into the phone right? If I purchase a 1000min card, is there an expiry date on the minutes?
