Soo much!!!
Three-year-old raped on I-Day
NDTV Correspondent
Sunday, August 17, 2003 (Mumbai): In a gruesome incident, a three-year-old girl was raped near Churchgate, one of Mumbai\'s busiest stations, on the evening of August 15. The Mumbai police have arrested the accused Manigundal Shetty, a porter. Shetty, 23, apparently lured the girl with a promise of a chocolate, leading her to a deserted spot where she was later raped. \"We reached the station after receiving the complaint and found the accused there. The girl was taken to JJ Hospital for medical examination which confirmed her rape,\" said J G Kamble, Police Officer. The incident comes a year after the infamous rape case in which a young girl was raped in a train near the Borivali railway station. After this case, police presence was increased in local trains.

The staff at Churchgate station is now demanding strict action against the accused. \"This has never happened before. The rape of the little girl is shocking. The accused should be hanged,\" said Laxmi Kumari, a sweeper at the station. This incident highlights the need for stringent security measures at Mumbai\'s railway stations.

All countries in the world will change. But India will never change. We cannot count the crimes in our country.

It has nothing to do with a country. it is the same any where. man has made such progress in all aspects on life, but he has not learnt to be a good individual. I don\'t have any more words for such henious, inhuman acts.

Nope, we do not stop by saying that \'we cannot say anything more than saying that it is an inhuman act\'. The fellow should first be punished (we can all chip-in for it) and then hanged so that such acts will NOT be made by any others in the future, by LAW. If not anything, they will be scared for their lives and so the children will be safe. And this 3 year old (how could he even touch such a young child with such intentions?) baby should be given a lot of love and care so that this incident is totally forgotten by her. where were her parents, anyways?

what is the relationship between Independence and this incident? probably the title should be something like \"how civilized are the most civilized animals?\"

65-year-old rapes granddaughter

Warangal, Aug. 18: In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old man allegedly raped his 15-year-old granddaughter for more than a year and impregnated her.

According to the police, the accused, Md Salam, a resident of LB Nagar, had sexually exploited his daughter’s daughter Faima and impregnated her. She gave birth to a baby 12 days ago in a private hospital. The feeble-bodied infant died after a week.

The parents of Faima questioned the victim, when she was seven months pregnant and to their utter disbelief found that Salam as the exploiter. On the intervention of the other family members and the community elders they tried to keep the issue under wraps and got Faima delivered secretly.

But when Salam, a rickshaw-puller, failed to live up to his promise of getting Faima married, her father Jaffer lodged a complaint with the Intezargunj police on Monday.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, DSP B Sumathi, who is personally monitoring the investigation, said that they have booked a case under section 376 (F), rape of minor girl, against Salam.

“Though the accused is at large presently, we will arrest him in a couple of days,” she said. The incident was really shocking and the condition of Faima was pathetic as she did not even realise what happened to her, Sumathi said.

I remember reading this piece of news few years back - or was it an L B Nagar rickshaw-puller of the same community raping his own kid?
