nice guys end up last??

hi guys-i was wondering whether its true that nice guys always end up last?
as for me i think yes-by being nice we r allowing others to go in front and settling down with what ever we get.
I mean i feel im losing a lot of day to day battles(like say in silly arguments with coworkers,which definetly counts while forming an impression abt us) by being nice.
what do u guys have to say abt this??
do u guys think we can be nice and still win in life??
Or to win in today\'s world u have to be a rude guy who will make others agree to what ever he says-by hook or by crook-even if he himself feels its not fair?

Yes, being nice sometimes definetly takes many people take advantage of u...U may also suffer a lot sometimes becos of that...But I feel that it all depends on the kind of people u go around with all the times...U should be able realise who r ur real friends/well-wishers & cut out others ASAP...If u do this ultimately u would end up being only with ur wellwishers and u feel that being nice always does something nice to us...Finally, u must be nice only with the nice guys & bust up the wrong guys who take advantage of u...JUST LIKE OUR FILMI HEROES...

Dear Mr N guy,
I agree all your points in 1000%
because being soft,polite,thinker for others well being,I achieved nothing. I always got insulted by the coworkers being commented in public places.All these nonsence happened because of my soft spoken personality.I suffered a lot.
while the cunning persons who flirted with girls nicely in offices ,I was always thrown out
to remote localities.
I want to tell you that this is a bad world full of selfish fellows,
womanisers, flirting half prostitutes in offices.We have to be very careful to protect ourselves.I invite more deep discussions in
