Being a muslim, I think we should handover BABRI MOSQUE

To Hindus. In 16th century, filled with hatred towards Hindus, muslims then destroyed Ram temple and built Mosque there. But not even a single Muslim would go and pray in Mosque. Ayodya was regarded as one of the holiest shrines for Hindus, and should be handed over to Hindus. We muslims were bigots in past. Time for the justice.

Even Muslims have no right to handover Babri Masjid because in the process a principle would be compromised. What if tomorrow chruches, Parti fire temples or Gurdwaras are \"demanded\" by the Hindus. I think the area belongs to India... and if it is secular nothing save a general public utility monument should be built. Like say the tomb of Narendra Modi.

Tomorrow your house will be found in a area where some god like Hanuman roamed around and passed through in the past. Some devotee of Lord Hanuman will come and ask you to hand over your house. Would you happily and gladly give it to him?

It is not simply a question of \"handing over\" sajjad. Muslims prayed there for centuries and it is a sacred place. All right minded(majority)of hindus understand that it was wrong to demolish the mosque in the first place. If India is secular then we have every right to practice and protect our religion, our customs and our places of worship.

Dear RAMS, I grew up with people who thought like u and it seems that this lot is extinct now from all communities. Bravo for thinking like u do and expressing yourself. I am a muslim who went to a convent and had hindu friends all my life. We are all indians and have forgotten to think of oursevels as INDIANS. My religion is my own and I practise it the way I want. No one has the right to tell me what to do. Can\'t we just go back to being good old Indians and be together???

My name is Sriram. The very name synonymous with the Ram Temple agitation. I can\'t also forget that Iqbal\'s mom would make veg biryani on Bakrid each year, and I would get to eat first. I know Imad would always jokingly say I was a \"Muslim\" because I was very aggresive and had a long beard, while I used to call him \"Sadhu\" (Hindu saint) because he was so sober.
I do fanatically believe that Religion is a very personal affair. I see no place for personal affairs in national polity.
There is no nation or democracy if there are barbaric divisions based on community. Modi is not just a Hindu shame... he is an Indian shame.
We were ruled for ages in our history by barbarians of all hues: Alexander to Khiljee to TemurLen etc. Modi is the first Barbarian Indian ruler.
I don\'t know if we (as in Indians)will go back to being merely Indians and not Hindus and Muslims. We certainly can. At least you and me. But then someone has to start somewhere. The pity is I never stopped being one. Nor I am sure, you.

Dear Sriram, That was a good reply. I am a NRI who has been trying to tell her children how I lived with people of different religions. My house was in close proximity to a mandir and a gurudwara. I still remember my father telling me about how good the hindus and the sardars were in getting up early to remember their God. This was to remind me to say my early morning namaaz. My children have not experienced this and have no idea of what wonderful people live in India. I miss all of this when I come to India and incredibly sad to see what our parents taught degenerating into being labelled as hindus, muslims and the rest. Our secular fabric is being torn away with the help of the bigoted minority Indians who have no right to be called Indians.

If you are so generous of donating a Mosque then why don\'t you set an example by constructing a Mandir anywhere in the country. As far as Babri Mosque is concerned , leave the matter to the court.

You have shown your idiocy by comparing Ayodya temple with some silly example. Why muslims razed Hindu temples in India? Jewish temple in Palestine and built AL-aqsa mosque over there? Muslims always destroy place of worship of other religions, built a Mosque over there and claim that it is their holy shrine. Muslims should start respect people of other faith, else they bring their own destruction.

Sajjad, I bet u are a Hindu disguised as a muslim. Probably stole one of your friends name. Shame on you. BTW, the history you know is a distorted one. The Ram Janm Bhoomi already exists in Ayodhya, very close to babri masjid, but NOT in babri masjid. That is a historical fact. And stop looking at the past and start looking into the future. Times have changed and so do we need to. Todays India is not a Kingdom ruled by a select few. It is a secular republic and lets keep it that way.
