The best way to catch Veerappan

by vivek of themavericks » Tue Dec 10, 2002 1:29 pm

Look at it this way, two state governments and one central government with CRPF and Special task force police adding upto a force of over 2500. Have not been able to catch one man for the last decade. That too with the latest infrared and night vision technologies, arial heat sensors etc. I think i may have the best solution for catch him, but this won\'t fetch anyone the wooping 2 crore cash award for his head. The funda is <b> Catch him when he dies of old age</>. Till, then keep tying in vain and work hand in glove with his men. Make lotsa money.<b> Nonsense</>. Lets solve this internal nuisance value and then lets go across the border to play blame game.

It high time that a country of India\'s stature is not able to nab a sandalwood smuggler and as such are ridiculed by our neighbours like pakistan. Pakistan feels when we can\'t catch hold of Virappan who is inside india, how can we tackle pakistan.

Human monsters in India are, more often than not, a creation of our own political establishment. Who created the most deadly militants in Punjab during the 70s? Who created the likes of Veerappan. Our own politicians who supported the then small goondas only to realize the snakes were biting the feeders\' hands. It is not a question of whether our law enforcement can. It is one of whether the executive branch comprising the political junta WANTs to. It is one where the dinosaur has gotten so big that any one in its path will be consumed. Bravo to our yesterday politicians. They are facing the music of their baby goonda from a couple of decades ago. It WAS all about the monetary benefit of letting the V to fall the sandlewood trees; now the whole political establishment is falling. The sad ending story is that they do not and will not learn. Many more Vs to come before \"when the world sleeps, we wake to freedom.\"

Every time I watch that man and his tapes, there\'s this feeling of bewilderment. One man has held a country to ransom for years and yet we haven\'t learnt. Pessimistic as this may sound, I guess thats what makes India, INDIA.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you are right.
