Shahed, you are absolutely right! When ever any one tries to raise such an issue, everyone for the sake of ending the discussion says, “sub kay sub melay huye hain”, “hur ek party ake he hain” or “har ek netah ake he hain” and just shrug it off and no one goes beyond that point. Concluding at this point or mere raising the question dose not provide the solution. If every other party or politician is the same than we have to think about, what is that which is the same with every politician? And what is that which is making them same? Then we have to suggest about how to address it and who to address it. Do we need another politician to address it or should we not believe in the political process at all? I tried to analyze this and came to a conclusion. I sincerely believe that my analysis is not comprehensive and could be related to a specific context. I have no regrets if anyone finds me wrong. Rather I would be more than happy if someone suggests an alternative solution or a philosophy. ---I think, in the present social setup, there are two categories of people. 1) Powerful and 2) common people. There is a growing separation between the two groups and a distinctive characteristic difference between them. Some of the differences are as follows: 1. Powerful knows about this division and the common don’t. 2. Powerful thinks that, he can sacrifice the interest of the common and the common man thinks that everyone is affected. 3. Powerful form a pseudo club and are very much united. They provide unconditional help for any powerful who is in trouble, or else they may be the next. Common man is never united. BTW, Tehelka is the best example. In spite of tons of proves, nothing happens to anyone. 4. Powerful acts to be a common man and common man is always motivated to become powerful, that’s the reason why there is no revolt from the common man. 5. Powerful is above the law and gets away with what ever he wants. Law is for common man only. 6. Powerful is becoming more powerful and the common man is more and more exploited. Ultimately, I want to conclude saying that, if powerful is not willing to share power with people, the whole nation would be exploited by some other powerful nation. The powerful is high with his power and not over seeing the global events.
