Why isn\'t Hyderabad a Metropolitan Mahanagar?

Friends sometimes I get upset when I watch DD news, particularly when they announce weather forcast. \'Aaj Bharat ke chaar Mahanagaroun ka taapmaan .. Delhi mein.bla..bla....Mumbai mein..so n so... Madras mein..etc, etc..Aur Calcutta mein - n -.
English News : The temperature has been recorded in the 4 major cities Delhi...Mumbai...Madras..and Calcutta\'.. I wonder why they dont include Hyderabad and Banglore Name in major metropolitan cities. Hyderabad and Banglore are advanced in many areas during last few decades still they are ignored..One more thing I am not against with other metro cities...so no regional boundaries and descrimination. I wish one day they include Hyderabad and Banglore also in the list of India\'s Major Cities..What do you Say ♪ ♪ ♪

the representative city for north=delhi, east=calcutta, west=bombay, south=madras this is being followed since english times. i am not interested now

hi only cities that show some amount of cosmopolitan nature can be the METRO. in that case since east india company times madras has been the real metro. not that city of old N...m kings. So dont pain others by asking such painful questions.

Yakkkkk!! As of today there is No more East India , No more Old N...z Kings... and last but not the least ...No more Tipusultans...take a glance ...Hyderabad is far away from many others so called Metros..It is Now HITECH , ADVANCED , WELL PLANNED as well as traditional.
