NRI\'s contribute no less tha 8 billion dollars every year.
They have won laurels for their country of origin, and have proved beyond doubt, that they remain more Indian than those who never left the shores,to look at India from a different angle and perspective. Unbecoming behaviour of a few blacksheep NRI\'s is not the yardstick to classify a vast majority in the manner my friend is trying to.
In fact the feeling among NRI\'s, that they are \"Not required Indians\",is developing because of such an attitude
by residents back home.If you cant pat their backs for their enormous contributions, atleast dont hurt their feelings.Do we become responsible citizens by doubting others ?

We need to make ourselves responsible citizens and in the evnd it means we are only helping ourselves, whether we are NRI\'s or not. All the duties of a citizen need to be followed kept up so that our country can benefit.

Pity on you Guess ! if you donno \'bt good citizen then how can you judge \'bt bad. Basically its a matter of ur love and affection towards the country. Apart from money there are many other things will be considered in such case. A soldier serves the nation by sacrificing his life , where as an NRI serves the nation by bringing foreign currency after 100\'s of sacrifices. What if I ask you : Are you a Good Citizen or Good Human Being , Naturally a good human being will be a good citizen, and at the same time he is not restricted to any country. Guess : I Guess you are an NRI.

Who the heck is this “Guess”, such an isolationist creature! “Guess”, U have no idea of what goes into the life of an NRI. He is the guy who sacrificed the prime time of his life, just to earn money for the rest of his family. He is the guy, who dared to go into an alien nation with out any knowledge of the culture, background, heritage, language and ethnicity of the residing nation. He is the one who chose to stay in isolation with the family and virtually has no social life. He is the one who chose to live with the people who look at him with suspicion and never considered him as one among them. He is one of the NRI’s who are sending billions of dollars to India. People like him are contributing to the prosperity of airlines where 10’s of thousands are employed. You still think him as unpatriotic?

Dear VRRR (Aisi ki taisi naam hai ya mithai ki dukaan hai) - can you please suggest what exactly you mean by \"responsible citizen\". I think every person who has a sense of responsiblity will endeavour to behave responsibily everywhere - be it home , city or country. This way I think we have majority of responsible citizens and those who are not they behave so for various reasons majority of which cannot be attributed to the individual or group concerned.
Dont forget - People learn from real life examples and from what they see. Unfortunately we lack good examples and practices - that\'s a concern for sure.
