well dude, I bet you send this mail from a computer that uses a pirated version of Windows, and everything on the computer is pirated, right? then whats the point in talking about this when the software dealer near your house would be selling windows XP for Rs 100? first tell him to stop piracy before talking about softwares being given out on the net.

most of the softwares are so damn over priced that here is no point in using them that way.And if you wanna go the free way then take a left turn.... did not get me?..well go the \"copy left\" way and grab Linux, apache and open office. All these would enable you do do what windowsNT/9x/2000/Xp/Xp second edition/Xpplus and god knows what more this bill gates guy would release.(XpSE and XPplus don`t exist as on now... but i am sure they will soon!!!).The computer which you ,might have brought in all probablity for about 40k would cost another 20k more if you would become crazy for \"original\" software.there are many reasons. And there is nothing like a duplicate software,if a software is changed.. it kinda becomes another software. And i am sure the guy who started this board would also be liking pirated and cracked versions,so heres a site that gives patches for making a shareware version last life long!!
http://www.bestcracks.com .Caution but, this site give pop ups which would be some porn.Don`t ever browse this site when a female is around.(surfing with your GF is just a matter of opinion!!)

Yeah, I was going to talk about Linux too. Though Micro$oft develops and sells good enough software, buying it is way beyond the reach of common man. All my Amerian friends use pirated software, it is not restricted to India or Taiwan alone. But a better alternative is to use Linux, it really rocks. And it is much faster. You can run your windoze programs from within Linux and do a lot of stuff that you do on wind0ze and much more. Plus the downloads for Linux are much faster than that of Windoze and I dunno why. I have Limewire for my Windoze 2000 and its Linux version, and the Linux Limewire is hyperfast, and I download MP3s on my hard disk in about half or a third of the time when I\'m on Linux. Best of all, you won\'t have to fear about any NASSCOM raid or any such raid when you are using Linux. You can show them the door as soon as they enter and see that you have Linux on your desktop :)

Yup buddy! 100% percent but the current priracy is just because the apprehensions associated with linux..Infact its not so user friendly..don`t know about SuSe and madrake but..Red hat certainly is not for the commoner. So microsoft exploits it to a large extent. What else, thay have infact copied the folder icons of WinXp from linux na!.Its only when an almost windows like linux developes with the amound of perpheral softwares available, user would be confortable

Hi Vivek, uou are right about the user-unfriendliness of Linux, and of RedHat in particular. I dabbled with RedHat and Mandrake, and have seen the installation of Debian, which is a pain in the a$$. Mandrake is the easiest of the lot, easier to install than Windoze. SuSe is not free. You can get different flavors of Linux free from http://www.linuxiso.org. While KDE on Mandrake is really kewl, KDE on RedHat sux bigtime. Gnome is way too slow for most of the latest versions of Linux, I am not sure why. Movies run the best on Linux using XMovie, but I sometimes get logged out of my session as soon as the file gets over. I am still using KDE 2 and need to upgrade to KDE 3, which is supposed to be faster and more user-friendly.
Coming to the actual topic (sorry I always deviate from the real topic, lol) piracy abounds in softwares and you also find new unreleased movies free for download on the net. Downloading copyrighted songs is a thing of the past, I mean it is too outdated to even mention here. One way to curb piracy is, as you inferred, to bring down software costs. Or else, piracy is going to stay on forever. It won\'t make sense to buy the original Windoze XP by paying $275 plus some yearly extra dollars for its \"special features\" which nobody is going to use anyway.

Hey Vivek, I just went a little deeper into your site and noticed something pertaining to \"Re-defining matrimonial ethics\". Can you give me the link so that I can have a look at the controversial article you had on your site? Well, I don\'t know about what was in there, but if the older generation has a problem with that article maybe they need a piece of my mind.

Hi man! Nice to hear those things, infact you are may the Nth guy asking what that section was.Well,we had this series of messages rediculing girls who fall for guys from USA,those who go to USA and return after an year too \"book\" a girl and then come back after two years of MS to get married.Usually, they get engaged to the girl and after that the girls just wait till her \" to be hubby \" come back.. she then gets a stamped visa and flys off just add to already excess Indian population. We had to censor that infact,as i had receved some very filthy emails. Some were actually great to read, infact some were from women who went through all that we put in the site and started to repent!!.The links are those only ones that are there in that section.Infact,i plant to retain tha section as lotsa guys who type \" reddy bride\",\"marriage guide\" etc in google are finding an entry to my site. They would be assuming its some sort of matrimonial section and get a surprise!.Some of these guys then send me a nasty email stating that i don`t any right over issues like marriage.I then send a standard email that \" look buddy marraige has lost its sanctity... its more like a financial contract\"

Hey buddy, you are definitely right about your views and remember themavericks.net is YOUR site and you have full right over what is put in there. Plus, your views about girls finding an NRI groom is completely true. Well, if the older generation blokes don\'t want to face facts, its their problem. And its not only the older generation blokes, its also the current generation girls who are prospective spouses of H1 candidates and are just waiting desperately for their dart to reach somewhere. Well, marriage has lost its sanctity with these kind of folks who hunt for NRI grooms and arrange for contract marriages just to boost their status a little bit. I know many people in my locality in Hyd who were looking ONLY for NRI guys for their daughters because they wanted to get that tag - NRI parents-in-law. It elevates their prestige and gives them a false superior status of having \"settled\" their daughter\'s future with a wonder guy, in the \"land of milk and honey\". And they have the cheek to say that you guys are immature, amateurish and are ruining the sanctity of marriage?? what the heck? Get the section back on your site. I\'ll handle those oldies and newbie \"Im-dying-to-marry-an-NRI\" desperados if they spam you with their trash. Maybe they need someone to tell them that intelligence does not increase with age. Take care.

Superb man,i will try ti revive that section as you rightly said.Infact, thats what instigated this heated e-argument.We used to have so rough email from girls to girls in the egrou that it was amazing how girls differe in their opinion. One such gem is actually put on the site i guess its http://www.themavericks.net/ruchireply.htm i am not sure, this one was from Miss Ruchi Alankar who gave a fitting reply to all these kind of matters. The section which recevied stones and rotten tomatos was the \"sequence of events before and after a marriage\".It was so critised that ,if i remember correctly one of the sybiosis college magazine had incorporated the matter!.Later of course i wanted to sort revam the website..so faded away such section, but this one survived on popular demand!.

Yeah I read Ruchi Alankar\'s letter, it was very mature and sensible. I hope there are many of her kind. Who is your domain hosting agent and how much do you pay him? If you give out 6MB per email account created, you sure must be on a high end server.

Thanks a lot man,but once all that got settled i thought to add some intellectual aspect to my efforts,so i invited articles from free lance guys and those who would write something sensible about computers, internet and now management.I want to make it an online repository of the best management articles because in case of software its impossible to match ZDNET or tucows, the only way i can build up my USP is to publish what every student searches for in google. And since google sort of likes my website!(i have indentified about 224 key words that places my website as result number 1,including the title),i wanna make use of this,Already, this has worked,i have about 78 management artciles some even 5000 words pending to be edited, and i get so many emails asking me why i have not put anything as yet.So hopefully by Monday, there would a complete review of the insurance sector in india, followed by the mutual fund sector and so on.I have made sure that the language is kept to the very base,so that a lay person can also interpret. But any section that clicks would remain for ever.
