I made the trip in December 2007. The smooth Shatabdi express took me from Amritsar with in two and half hours. From Sirhind station I took cycle rickshaw straight to the Fatehgarh sahib gurudwara. During chilly misty December morning, I took the wonderful opportunity of seeing the place where young children of Guru Gobind singh were buried alive. They still keep the original bricks.







Little distance away I saw the Tomb of Muslim saint Sirhindi. It too had wonderful wall works.







Finally I saw the unbeatable Aam Khas bagh. This has hundreds of Mughal buildings. The Punjab Government had failed to maintain the great buildings properly ...





I saw young couples lying in compromised manner in desolated old mughal rooms.
