Change the definition of Adults

Is it time to change the definition of Adult, now it is like this

Adult aperson whose age is above > 21 for male and age > 18 for female.

Should it be reduced to male >18 and female >15?

It may benifit many youngsters.

Now, you can sit an gauge each and every person's mental maturity and so they took an average and dished out those numbers. So its really difficult to judge, some of the adults i know are more juvenille then twelve year old, and some of the fourteen year olds i know are more mature than some of the adults i know. So its more of a personal thing really.

coz we should not consider the survey results from the media about what age we start doing what is intended to be done by adults.



What is important is the age limit should serve as a guideline and not merely a reflection of whats happening around. We cant go on reflecting the happenings in our guidelines because those LINES are to Guide us and they have to be drawn taking a holistic view.

I feel the maturity level of young has gone up. They are able to think good and bad very well. The criteria of judging adult is their mental balance and maturity. If today's young have it in them why restrict things with age?. Better to bring age down and review it every 100 years or so.

I feel its not just MENTAL BALANCE and MATURITY which is taken for judging somebody to be adult. Its much more as somebody has said about physiological and biological etc.

If "quality of thought and wonderful heart a person" are the concerns then its individuals below the age 5 or 6 years and not above 18 -21.

It is found that with time the maturity has developed at an early age, Physically changes have come and Psychological changes have taken huge changes, biological reasons are also changed with time. Read Charles Darwin theory of A struggle to survival. All animals in the planet have one way or other have adopted to changing times. Now human beings no longer live for 100 years because of several uncontrollable factors. Hence a change in legal status of age of adult is must in 21st century.
