Whats wrong with our wimmen?

by soulcurry » Sat Jun 24, 2006 11:50 pm

I take one of those share autos that ply between madhapur and ameerpet everyday. Yesterday I perched myself beside the driver as there were three girls in the passengers seat. One of them was talking animatedly in tamil with a clipped accent . The posh convent types accent. I loved the way she blended english with tamil...it wasnt forced and flowed so naturally....she was saying something interestin to her friend ..about how it was very important to not just do what is expected from you at work but to add value, etc...At this juncture I looked into the mirror to see her..mind you...it was just a fleeting look...the girl catches me looking at her...stops her conversation and gives me the dirtiest look I have ever received in life... trust me guys I wasnt leching , didnt ogle at her...it was just a casual look to see the face behind that interesting conversation...just the way I would prolly look at a man in a similar situation..

whats wrong with our women? why do they think every man looking at them is a lowlife stripping them in his mind.

mayb she thought u wer in a way conveying that her conversation was too jarring to u . ???? ... but i won't have given someone glancing at me a dirty look i wud have smiled .. and if that guy turned out to be a snoot.. i wud just say the smile was part of my conversation

is something wrong with that???? if not, then there's something wrong with some of the women .. not all ...

"why do they think every man looking at them is a lowlife stripping them in his mind"

Well because many do!

Soulcurry, your conscience is clear. Yours was just a casual glance but maybe she mistook it. Maybe her's was a case of "once bitten twice shy".

Relax.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you are right.

On a serious note, I second Bimbette. Oh, yeah, Relax, too :)

On the lighter note, if I were to be you, I would have looked back, confidently, given her a friendly smile and said whatever I felt, straight to her, rather than silently admiring :)

She would have found it very pleasing, I am sure. Still if she gives you those dirty looks ? say, "oops, you did not deserve it, Sorry". :)

There is this hilarious incident on how much women (some women? most women? lets see how they are going to react on these DB's) want to be told that they are liked, admired, loved..

It happened with one of my friends. She was engaged to be married. They even had a date for the marriage. She postponed it saying that she is not sure if he loves her enough. How come? Because he does not tell her often enough how much he loves her! Her father asked her, "Do you want a running commentary of what he feels for you every second of the day? Is it not enough that he professed his love for you, asked you to marry him, fixed up the date and yet, here you are, postponing the wedding date because he does not express his love for you enough times !?"

She understood her mistake, corrected it and they are getting married this July 4th weekend.

Congrats to ur friend.....

AND....i also think it depends on which stage of the relationship ur in...i mean, if ur starting off, then obviously, ur gonna be saying "i love u" a LOT!! but once u've got into a niche (of familiarity, mutual understanding), then i guess u don't need to say it that much...

Don't be mistaken, i'm not saying that u SHUDN'T, all i'm saying is that it depends on the person. There r couples who say "i love u" throughout their lives....are they being silly? NO....they're just being themselves....DO we copy them? NO....we do what we want...

ANYWAYS, this is totally off topic!!

About that girl in the auto, see, i'm sure it's a case of once bitten twice shy...plus trust me, we girls HAVE to be extra careful wen goin out on our own, coz "things" happen....WE'VE got to look out for ourselves, coz if something happens, then there's no guarantee that we'll get help from anyone else.....

The girl MAY have thought u were eyeing her (in a not so good way - just as u can't really say what she was thinking, neither could she have at that time), and so by giving u a dirty look, she was kinda "protecting(?)" herself?

Since u don't even know the girl, don't take it so personally...next time u want to look at a girl, look at her directly, and not indirectly (as u did)....

just my 2 cents....ultimately, ur gonna do what ur gonna do!! right?

soulcurry what the girl did in the auto wasnt right. may be it was becuase of the reason that she wouldnt have expected you to understand tamil and seeing the expression from ur end she might have thought what the hell was i speaking?. it so happens that when u are travelling in the public transportation one may over hear the conversation and one tends to form the views quickly as everyone is entitled to one. there have been cases where i have had my own opinions and agreement about what others speak and i have smiled too as a symbol of agreement and people have taken in a good spirit.

@soulcurry: take it easy

@ Fun Kay:i agree with u. it is not important for an individual to profess love each time he/her meet their beloved. it is all about understanding. i mean a person's behaviour would tell a lot about how he/she feels.

Anyone might be suffering but the case in consideration

i agree with most ppl's assessment of it being a "once-bitten-twice-shy" syndrome...becasue of some bad experience, she might be suspecting any strange man, not to say abt a man who is trying to look at her via a mirror :)

also it must be a defence mechanism - a dirty glance as a warning not to fool around. many girls do that.

thats true. the dirty glance could be a defence mechanism. with so much so happening around girls are extra cautious.

Sample has been given for analysis to find the problem,

[img][/img]

The problem remains untraceable due to the very large number of other problems surrounding it.

do u realise that we only use 2% of our brain. everything that we see hear and read is stored in the brain. its amanzing that the cells of the brain never multiply.

i guess that's the reason why women remember birthdays, anniversary and all the important dates.

dates occupy 50% of the total 2% no wonder women (mis) manage everything else with th remaining 1%.

Whats wrong with our wimmen

by VJ » Fri Jun 30, 2006 5:47 pm

Arey yaar woh ladki darr gayi hogi ya Sharma gayi hogi. Or may be she didn't like you turning back at her in the mirror and trying to stare at her. If u still feel uncomfortable, us ladki ko gaav vali samajh ke bhool jao.

Kya kare yaar, the wimmen in this country are still shy enough and not open minded when compared to wimmen in other western countries. Sometimes I get a feeling as if they forget that they have enough freedom in this world to open up and enjoy. They are still living in the old era.

Next time u wanna see any women dont try to stare at her in the mirror, rather make a direct eye contact, atleast it avoids any uncertain/ misinterpretation. okkkkkkkkkkk.
