My Mysterious Dream... Can anyone interpret it???

by Peter Camenzind » Thu Mar 09, 2006 6:21 pm

Hi all,

I wud like to tell you abt a dream i used to see repeatedly since from my child hood.. and i wish you

ppl interpret my strange dream.

That dream came first time when I was studying 6th class, in Navodaya, Madanapalli. In the dream I had a special power to fly into air by twisting somehow my right leg continuously while running and at a single jump i can able to fly into air and i use to roam here and there flying on to top of a building, jumping from building to building etc.. but the strange thing is that no one around is observing me as if it was not a special skill, even though i'm the only person flying in the air.

Upon seeing the dream i didn't feel to share that dream with anyone except my close friend . That dream appeared to me so real that i thought i can really fly in air with that trick, so the next day evening, Me and my friend

went to an open place away from school where we use to go after evening Roll call. There I explained abt my dream to him and he gave a big laugh at me for my stupidity and even then i tried to fly.... Nothing happened.

After taht the same dream is repeated( where flying places will change but the technique remains same ) continuously at the average of 2 times in a month.

Later I thought that i am getting dream repeatedly because i am thinking abt it. But thats not true i use to forget abt it as i have grown up, but still i use to get the same dream and later i completely ignored that dream.

I am working in mumbai now and still i am gettin the same dream. Recently i went to my village on a vacation for 10 days and to my surprise

there i had the same dream but for teh first time in that dream i saw someone who captured me and trying to remove that power from me by somehow clipping my right leg ankle and at the same time i saw many people like me whose ankles are clipped like me and suddenly i wake-up from my sleep.

In all these dreams i clearly remember that i am flying either in late evening, or early morning or night.

when i tried to analyse my dream through google ... i found some

info like ...

1. Flying is a sign for freedom and therefore i am a free person and like to wander places, open

hearted , stuff like that ...

2 . And somewhere i found that i was a flying being in my previous life and that life is haunting me

and things like that ...

3. Some where i found that some strange thing is about to happen in my life....sth like that

I heard before that dreams are sometimes the reminiscent of your previous life. is it true ?..

can anyone interpret my dream...and possible reason behind it?

Flying signifies letting your inner self break free the shackles that are keeping you down. You have a desire to do something, something very important for you, but you cannot pursue your goals because of your surrounding conditions... society which is clipping your wings.

Or

You simply like flying. You wanted to fly every since you were a child, birds fascinate you. You want to see what the world is like from the a birds point of view. People are not noticing you because even in dreams you are just you, a biped!

I too have a recurrent dream, that I am flying fast jets. I always dream that I am a Sea Harrier pilot or flying a chopper. Very often I find myself in teh cockpit of Sea Harrier jump jet taking off and hovering and then it zooms past the building and cities at a tremendous speed of Mach 0.0002 i.e., 20 mph and suddenly the Sea Harrier transforms into a Bajaj Chetak
May the Fries be with you!

I can think of one extreme POSSIBILITY where this entire thing fits- people who are subjected to a physical (or chemical) treatment or action or agent. Do you drink excessive coffee/ tea? Any particular drug that you have been taking since ur childhood? Or a particular exercise/ sport you have been excessively engaged with?

I won't drink excessive coffee/tea.. ( i take regular like 2 cups a day either tea or coffee). Apart from this i won't take any other drug as i am a teetotaller. And I am not excessively engaged/obsessed with any sport/exercise

Hey Freud you analysed well..

your 1st explanation made some sense for me and its somewaht true since when i entered into adulthood to till now( but i think its not only me but many ppl have such kind of desire and they don't had such dreams) .

and your 2nd explanation suits me for my childhood days..

It means u are scared of what may be present in ure dream, you do not want to face it, you'd rather forget it, than confront it.
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

IMO..

when u dream u r " completely unconscious"

when u wake up u r " completely conscious" but you are not in transition state so u don't remember. :)

Wht i mean to say is if a person wakes up from a dream... if he is in a transition state( unconscious--> conscious) he can remember the dream

If Disturbed By Outside Noise / Action ... People May Try To Remember The Good Ones And Try To Forget The Bad Ones ... The Puzzling Ones Remain Puzzling ... As The Details Just Slip Away ...
