400+ in ODI is new Generation Cricket

by Rajesh Singamsetty » Wed Mar 15, 2006 12:26 pm

I am still not out of that Center Shock that Australia and South Africa has given to the world on 12th March.

The way both the teams batted looked like nothing less than a war.

Pointing sends a message to all the Captains, how to lead a ODI team.

He never looked tensed and batted like anything.

And Gibbs, there are no words for him, I thought he became mad for runs on that day.

Earlier in 2000's if a team scores 300, it felt secured that it has a greater chance to win.

But after this match, it seems no target is a bigger one.

The South Africans has proved the proverb that where there is a will there is a way.

Now allmost most of the ODI records have been broken, I only records I am waiting to be broken is a double century in ODI.

I am sure Dhone, Patan, Shewag or Ganguly can break that barrier, if given a chance.

How I wish India break this record.

But I guess this was one of those one in million games when both the teams scored so heavily.

I personally do not think it will happen in near future.

The real damage was done by Smith 90 of 50 balls, you gotta have balls of steel for that kinda stuff...
