Are ppl on this board more interested in reading posts ?

Are ppl on this board more interested in reading posts than posting themselves?

I see only a few "super duper and valued users" and the rest seem to be "view"ers

It is all part of a process. People at first are content to just read others' posts. After about an year or so, they then get an urge to post. I 'lurked' at various DBs fer a long time and only recently (about 3 yrs) I have begun posting meself.

Some people jes dont have the time, energy or the required amount of 'expressiveness' (for want of a better word) to post. used to hang around prgramming and gaming DBs but did not post as I did not have anything to say, and I was not experienced enough at gaming/prog./whatever.

Yea u rite Mirza bhai..... I used to view n have fun ...but could not find time to post ....am sorry to say that.... thou watelse cud do.... my boss is irritating ..she talks bout the nonsense that no one wanna hear including her, but she does.... i need to heat the crap ....hmmmmm Aakhir meri naukri hai dost log....... ab meri alag se cubical hai tho posting karna bhi shuru kardii.......its not llime i didnt have time to post.... i was held up by my stupid boss.... she gud but sheee speakss which i jus cannot takeee

There are several threads I would post on right now.......but lately I just dont feel like it anymore. I'll read what ppl have to say, but I wont put my 2 cents in. *sigh*

I think its a combination of things that makes one interested in posting.

and posting always goes through various phases where you are active at times and almost dormant at other times. and its also about topics, normal mundane topics may seem fun at the start but they can not sustain interest for long. so if there arent any serious topics on the board you will find more views than posts.

well...i have been on DBs for abt 3-4 years... mostly on ezboard...then abt a a year and half back started our own board with a cpl of frnds...that has grown big...with more than a 100 members...arnd 20-30 active ppl...so we have let it to drift on its own way....new mods...new rules...

guess thats the way it is...

this board is cool...coz i can go back to being the same self i was 3-4 years back
