Some found the story old and some found it oh cho cute. But, I found it absolutely ridiculous. To me, this is not love. It is obsessions or desperation or whatever other big words you want to use to call it.
Love would never take anyone's life. If you happen to be the lucky few who get to grow old with their beloved, excellent! But, if there comes a point in your life when you have to go through the moment of parting you would realise that if your love was indeed true even that parting would not bring you any sorrow. You would be happy cherishing those moments you spent together.
It is easy to live with someone you love. But, if you love someone enough to let them go then that is the very epitome of true love. I do not say that let them go always. I hope no one ever has to do that.
People who have seen Kabhi Kabhi would be able to get my point a little better. I believe Amitabh and Rakhi could do what they did only because their love was the truest and purest there ever could be.
This skewed theory that we see in movies where the heroine is held captive by her dad and the hero goes to the bar is just that - skewed!
