Democracy / Hypocrisy - What do we follow in REAL LIFE??

by Helping a friend in need » Mon May 20, 2002 12:30 am

We all know from the very young age that India is a democratic Country - that gives freedom to worship, freedom to express one\'s feeling, freedom to .......etc...etc.. and we all have accepted it and our constitution is based on it and we all are happy about it.

However, this may sound very common to you though, a friend of mine loves a girl belonging to an other caste (i repeat caste, not religion) and wants to marry her and the girl is equally interested in marrying him. There is a strong refusal from both side families and it has resulted in a kind of little war between the families and both the boy and girl are in bad shape as they cannot see each other - although some friends are still helping them exchange messages. Now, what do you think about this situation and the way the families are reacting. Your suggestions might give a way to an amicable solution to this problem and in a way you will be contributing towards a good cause of uniting a loving couple.

when they are majors , then who can stop the marriage? in case the parents threaten , then they can surely seek help from the police.Someboddy gotta , brainwash such parents still trying to hang to some idiotic caste feelings.I wud say to hell with such parents , come out , take the police help and get married.

friends shudnt be helping in passing the messages from the boy to the girl, thats too silly.they shud gear up , accumulate some more hatta khatta friends and plan the marriage and be prepared to face any hurdles in the process.the boy and girl shud stop thinking about what to do and get into action. No need to tolerate such parents.

First of try to convince your parents the very reason or liking to marry that particular girl. Discuus this matter with your intimate & real friend...it might be an infatuation as well...your friend might help you out. Try from gals side, convince her parents as well, if her parents agreed call them to y\'r home & fix an appointment with y\'r parents...still if your parents disagree then either stop thinking about this gal else goahead & marry under the guidance of some elders. But keep one thing in your mind don\'t regret any of your decisions else its very tough sueviving!!!

Where have we heard this one before?????.....!!......I think both the parties (parents included) should just have a very honest talk.....taking any rash decisions at this point of time won\'t help.......

Sir,
Both parents side should convince each other that the life is their son or daughters. My case also very similar after five years of marriage also I am unable to live with my husband.
