I am passing some judgements here, so let god help me!
Inter-religious marriages are less of a problem, if both are fairly irreligious like the rest of us(ok, you know what I mean). A slight complication here is that the guy is a recent convert. And, neo-converts are generally 'holier than the pope'. If the guy has converted because the rest of the family has done, that's no big deal. But if he has done so out of conviction, AND, if the girl isn't all that keen to convert, they have huge problems ahead.
Many of us have trouble adjusting to others' eccentricities (no offence meant to the guy), but neo-converts are known to go to extremes before they come back to 'normal'. This and the marriage happening at the same time....
