Ideal places to propose

where would u like to propose to ur partner/where do u think would be so very romantic.........and what are those wonderful words, anything u like .....from movies, serials or ur own poetry. Well, nothing can beat sitting on a bench on Tank bund road with your girlfriend/Date on a sunday evening, with Road closed for Traffic and no by walkers staring, watching the sun set behind Buddha statue and then you say the three words!!!
 That was my dream, and luckily it is fulfilled albeit with some modifications.
 It was evening but not sunday, rush hour traffic so every person with two eyes was watching us. It was dusk and a Big Yellowish Orange ball (sun) was setting behind Buddha statue but the view was blocked by a beggar with a small child refusing to take one rupee and demanding 50 rupees. It looked like the beggar had an aura around her, with the sun exactly at her head level. Managed to get rid of her by paying 10 rupees (never in my life did I donate more than 50 paisa) only to find a stall wallah harassing us to buy tiffins,if not Ice creams, from him. The best thing being that my date that day was more like a friend to me than date. She was there only to fulfill my dream. Never had any feelings towards her so didnt say those three words

i will take her to a ferrari show room and tell her i am buying a ferrari....then i will propose to her ....she will have to be crazy to say no . ..

i would prefer a very lonely place. not bcos i am so romantic.. but bcos if she decides to slap me, or maybe just start hurling expletives, i prefer that only my 4 eyes & 2 ears witness it..ok! ok! just kidding.

) the only time i proposed to a girl was on the phone, 2 days b4 her wedding (obviously with some other guy)

but generally, i think a nice dinner followed by a nice drive to some quiet place like necklace road (minus the insects) where u can ask her to be urs would be good. or maybe u can take her to a movie, hire a slide in a theater(with ur proposal) which is displayed during the intermission. or maybe ask for an public announcement (in a shopping mall/festival kinda place) \"this is a call for ms. <so and so>. <ur message>\"

arey nahi yaar, its not a story. That happened on october 30 or 31 (what a coincidence) of 2001.

Johnny: may be ur talking abt someone whom u just met or whom u dont know at all, somebody from a different college or class. best way to get introduced is through a friend, if and only if ur sole motto is not to ultimately propose to her !! have an open mind friend, this is not the only girl on earth !! all i can say is , treat the individual as u would treat anybody else (read male) and then, it just happens, its body chemistry and charishma. Dont try to ask someone out when u feel somewhere in ur mind,have that bit of dought in these aspects. and then if u propose on ur first date, its ridiculous-atleast to me. and if u cant wait and want quick results, like seen the girl today, proposed her tomorrow, etc...........ur living in a virtual world.

Hey Mayavi,
 I think the secret lake lookout point in Jubilee Hills beats Tank Bund any day. The incredible view of the lake, the wind in her hair, the glow of the setting sun on her face... All provided there aren\'t a few weirdos sitting around smoking and looking at the both of you as if they\'ve not seen a man and a woman together before

Anyway, assuming there aren\'t any weirdos, the whole ambience, along with a love song sung softly to the sound of a guitar, should completely knock her off her feet. Actually the song and the guitar should be enough, if you go by my experience

Fiddler...
 Yep, thats a nice spot, especially the Big Rock on the road side after we take the turn, climibing up the steep road directly looking into the Secret lake. We used to call it Silent valley. We had countless Friday parties on the Rocks.
 I remember one particualr incident. The winds were very strong, we were standing on the Big rock (there is no direct path to climb up the rock, its almost like an egg, 15 feet high, we have to clib up like lizzards) striking the Titanic pose for a picture and we were literally blown away by the winds. We couldnt stand on our feet and had to lean into the wind to balance ourselves.
 The view from top of it is very nice, Golconda, Lakes on either sides, Tombs, and Hi-tech city....Magnificient view. Its a pity that they are cuttig the rocks for granite for residential houses.
 
 Anyway, my First love is Necklace road, and it will be the best love.
 Moreover my experience with string instruments (and musical instruments in general) is not something to brag about. It will spoil whatever good will I enjoy with the dames.

I\'ve grown up in those rocks, and it pains me to see people chopping them down too. I got especially angry when the roots school came up on the other side, completely covering that amazing huge sheet rock. It\'s quite sad. Hmmm. There\'s picnic plans happening for fullhyd members on a nother board. Maybe this could be a nice place? What say?

Though I didnt grow up in the rocks, I have spent considerable time partying there and goofing around with girls (occasionally though).
 And I dont think I can make it to the meet.

Well guys i m not sure that how much fair we should be with our life partners in discussing or revealing all the things which has happened before marriage. One should be fair and honest to his/her life partner, but won't it make the one's life miserable, if they will come to know that he had a premartial relation. if you can give me some idea on it.

Depends... u might have a spouse who is not interested in the past.. which is good. so u dont have to get into the (gory) details. on the other hand u might have a spouse who wants to know about every guy/gal u ever looked at in ur life. then better not hide anything... best approach (IMHO) is to forget the past.. (both of u) ..live for the future.. its not going to help knowing how many bfs ur gal had or how many gfs ur guy had.. (or bfs ur guy had or gfs ur gal had :wink:

) so... let bygones by bygones..

Actually, if the gal likes u, doesn't really matter where u propose. If she doesn't feel that way about you, u cud be in the most romantic place n still get shot down.
