anyone 'listening' to your bickering, that too on a 'silent' thread would say the same thing........

a more drastic measure would be to 'silence' both of you forever.....and separately too,in case Luci gets some even fancier ideas.....

you definitely would be missing (not missing out on) intelligence if u were to stay here for a long time, and if u did nt have me for company.

I am just wandering around here, for my stomach is bursting with it, got copper plates around it.

i think digestion, and not intelligence is an oxymoron.

silence does speak..

by liz » Tue Sep 27, 2005 2:18 pm

silence does speak...but u can hear if u have the ability to hear what silence has to say. sometimes, i have experienced, and also read in the books of several great wise people that the volume and velocity of a 'silent communication' is so profound that it ends up having a lasting impression on one's psyche and never leaves one's memories. At the same time, it also brings about transformations better than brilliantly articulated spoken or written words.

for example...it feels terrible to hurt someone's sentiments and not hear a word from him/her in either retaliation or anything else. it pinches real hard. have u evern experinced it?

even in cases of disputes (cold wars), the one who just remains engrossed in actions without doing much irrelevan talking (which might hurt someone's sentiments unnecesarily and serve no purpose in return) stands a better cahnce of commanding respect from one and all, including his rival. i have noticed it very often. It is hard to maintain silence though.

Does this mean one sould always keep quiet. :( . negative.even though silence is stronger than words, its use should be restricted only for a good cause. silence also has the potential to ruin a great relationship or your own reputation for that matter, if there is dearth of time or opportunity. one must speak up rather than waiting for their own destruction at someone else's mercy. remember...it should not be taken as a weakness of yours but should come out as one of your biggest strengths.
I hope you found me fair enough in explainign the essence of silence.

take care!
