The BJP-TDP combine candidate P Devaiah said the result would have been different if PM Modi had announced that if elected he would be made a Union minister.
Hyderabad | 24th November 2015
Accepting his defeat, former Union Minister and Congress candidate in the Warangal Lok Sabha by-election Sarve Satyanarayana said that he would abide by the verdict of the people.

The BJP-TDP combine candidate P Devaiah said that the result would have been different in case Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced officially that if elected, he would be inducted into the Union Council of Ministers.

Both Satyanarana and Devaiah lost their deposits in the by-election held on November 21. Sarve got 1,56,315 votes and Devaiah got 1,30,178 votes.

The winner, TRS candidate Pasunuri Dayakar, got 6,15,403 votes and won the election by a massive 4,59,092-vote majority.
