Union Minister Of State Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said the people would teach the TRS government a lesson for forgotting the sacrifices of martyrs.
Hyderabad | 8th September 2017
Union Minister Of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir today said that the people would teach a lesson to the TRS government which had forgotten the sacrifices of martyrs.

Addressing a meeting at Achampalli on the concluding day of the week-long Telangana Vimochana Yatra launched by state party president Dr K Laxman, the union minister demanded that the state government celebrate September 17 officially.

The union minister asked why Chief Minister KCR was not celebrating the day officially when he had announced before coming to power that September 17 should be celebrated officially. If the TRS government could give pensions to Telangana freedom fighters, then why could it not celebrate Liberation Day officially, he asked.

The Centre was also ready to celebrate the day officially, he said, adding that Union home minister Rajnath Singh would address a public meeting in Nizamabad on September 17.

Speaking on the occasion Laxman too alleged that KCR had forgotten his promise about celebrating the day officially.

BJP state leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, MLC Ramachander Rao, MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, and other leaders Srinivas Reddy Achary, Krishnadas and district president Padmaja Reddy also spoke on the occasion.

Earlier, Laxman launched a short Telugu film christened "September 17 Na Jenda Yegarali" by Mahabubnagar district party convenor Devraj.

Various BJP leaders paid tributes to the Telangana martyrs memorial in the village.
