Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to announce some more welfare schemes and sops on the occasion of the Telangana Formation Day tomorrow.
The state government has made elaborate arrangements for the celebrations of the special day at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds and in all districts across the state on June 2, and the CM's speech is expected to be the best part.
Officials have been working to make fool-proof arrangements at the Parade Grounds which are being seriously decked up for the mega event. Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will both be at the program, and the revenue, police, traffic and other departments are coordinating with each other for a smooth and peaceful conduct of the event. Security has been beefed up at the area, and the police are diverting regular traffic in the bordering roads on Saturday.
Meanwhile, all the roads leading to the main government offices like the Secretariat and the Assembly have also been decorated colourfully and with plenty of lights. Noted structures and historic monuments including the Golconda Fort, the Assembly building complex, the Salarjung Museum, Liberty and NTR Marg, have also been bejewelled to mark the occasion. And the tourism and culture wings are conducting special programs on the occasion.
