TRS president and Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today said that he would not lose anything but the people would, if the TRS failed to get the mandate in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.
Addressing a public meeting in the former Adilabad district, KCR said, "If the people vote for the Congress-led kootami comprising the TDP, the TJS and the CPI they will lose, as if the Mahakootami forms the government it will do nothing for the farm sector, irrigation, welfare and pensions. Telangana will be in darkness again, and will suffer from non-development all over again."
The TRS boss also alleged that the Congress was carrying the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on its shoulders because of its lust for power, and said that it would be Naidu who would dictate the terms of the government if the People's Front (Mahakootami) came to power.
Taking a dig at Naidu, KCR said that the former did not support any welfare measures during his regime, but that the TRS had not only completed the irrigation projects on a war-footing but also focused on welfare and development over the past four-and-a-half years.
KCR reminded the people of the various welfare schemes taken up by his regime including Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and others. He also promised that "the next TRS regime" would waive off crop loans upto Rs 1 lakh.
KCR exhorted the people to be cautious of the conspiracies of Naidu and the Congress leaders including Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy and others, and urged the electors to vote for the TRS for more progress.
