Following information that Sri Peetham pontiff Swami Paripoornananda was planning to come back to Hyderabad and had even booked a flight ticket from the Madhurapudi airport in Rajahmundry, the Hyderabad police today extended his ban orders to the Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissionarate areas too.
Paripoornananda had said that he was banned from entering only Hyderabad and could therefore stay on the city outskirts. On receiving the reports, the Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissionarates immediately issued orders saying that the seer was not allowed even in the police station limits of these two regions for six months. Notices were also sent to the pontiff to his Sri Peetham address in Kakinada.
For the uninitiated, on Wednesday Paripoornanada was externed from the city for six months under the Telangana Prevention of Anti-Social and Hazardous Activities Act for allegedly making provocative statements in November and December of 2017. On July 9, the religious leader had been put under house arrest
at a house owned by a real estate firm in Jubilee Hills ahead of his planned padayatra, which he was going to embark on in protest against the statements and campaigns in the social and electronic media against Hindu deities.
