Former minister T Harish Rao today said that he was not at all upset at not being made a minister in the cabinet expansion by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday.
Speaking to mediapersons after the swearing in ceremony of the ministers at Raj Bhavan, Rao asked the media, including newspapers and television channels, and the people on the social media, to stop spreading false stories on why he was not given a minister post.
"I am very happy, and will work like a soldier in the TRS, and will abide by the word of the Chief Minister," he said.
Condemning a misinformation campaign in a section of the media, Rao said that the media should try to understand that the cabinet members had been selected on the basis of a balance of regions and communities. He was a committed worker of the party and would not go beyond KCR's word, he claimed, and asked the media to refrain from carrying false news against the party leadership.
"Time and again I have said that I will be with the TRS until my last breath. I will take up any responsibility that the Chief Minister considers suitable for me for the welfare of the state," Rao said.
He also extended warm greetings to all the members of the cabinet and exhorted them to serve the people to their best capability.
