National Lok Adalat In City On February 10
The courts will try to dispose off long-pending cases to not only reduce the burden on the courts, but also provide quick relief to litigants.

The National Legal Services Chairman had recently directed legal services functionaries across the country to convene National Lok Adalats throughout the nation on a bi-monthly basis. In keeping with the directive, the first National Lok Adalat this year will be held on February 10 to dispose of long-pending cases to not only reduce the burden on the courts, but also provide immediate relief to litigants.
As per the directions of the Acting Chief Justice of the Hyderabad High Court, and the Patron-in-Chief of the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authorities, the Executive Chairman, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, and Member Secretaries of both the states, convened a meeting with the state-level officers of insurance companies and bank officials in the conference hall of the State Legal Services Authority, Hyderabad, to chalk out the feasibility of settling additional cases pertaining to motor accident claims and bank cases pending in various courts in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Secretary, City Civil Court Legal Services Authority, also attended the meeting.
In connection with the said directive, the Legal Services Authority appealed to the claimant public in the motor accident claim cases and the bank cases, and whose cases are pending on the files of various courts, to participate in the upcoming National Lok Adalat, and get speedy justice and immediate relief by getting their matters settled by it.
Claimants who attend the National Lok Adalat will also be eligible for refund of court fees already paid in pending cases.
