Manda Krishna Madiga To Fast For SC Categorization

The MRPS leader said that he would go on a hunger strike starting January 2 for attaining the MRPS' long-standing demand of SC categorization.
Hyderabad | 1st January 2018
Speaking to the media about his future plan of action for obtaining categorization of the SC list, MRPS founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga said that he would be taking up a hunger strike starting January 2.

Lamenting that there had been no response from the TRS over the matter, he alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari were "running away" from the issue.

When asked about his response to the Deputy CM's remarks that the MRPS take up these deekshas in Delhi to put pressure on the Centre, he said that the MRPS had reached out to the TRS for support in doing that but to no avail.

Holding the Deputy CM responsible for his recent incarceration, he claimed that the government had put him in jail with the encouragement of Srihari, and that the latter kept resorting to doing injustice to dalits.
