Telangana IT and MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao today earned Rs 7.30 lakhs by selling ice creams at two places and working as a construction engineer at a site in the city.
As part of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's "Pink Coolie Days" to raise money for the TRS Formation Day celebrations to be held at Warangal on April 27, KTR worked at an ice cream parlour at Suchitra in Kompally and sold ice cream to some youth. The minister prepared and sold ice creams, and got a total of Rs 6 lakhs as Malkajgiri MP Ch Malla Reddy purchased some of the ice creams for Rs 5 lakhs and a local leader Srinivas Reddy bought one for Rs 1 lakh.
KTR sold ice cream and fruit juice at Qutbullapur, too, and also worked as an engineer at a construction site, which cumulatively fetched him Rs 1.30 lakh.
Thus, KTR earned a total of Rs 7.30 lakhs on day one.
Meanwhile, TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be arriving at Torrur of the Mahabubnagar district on April 19 and perform manual labour to earn wages that he will contribute to the party for organizing a public meeting to be held in Warangal on April 27, Palakurthy MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao said.
The coolie works by the TRS rank and file will continue till April 20, and the TRS plenary is to be conducted on April 21 at Hyderabad.
