Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today lashed out caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for saying that the latter had developed the state, and asked why he had forgotten Nalgonda district.
He also ridiculed KCR for claiming that the TRS would bag all the 12 Assembly constituencies of the district in the upcoming elections. He said that he would resign as MLA (assuming he got elected) if the Congress failed to win 10 out of the 12 seats.
Komatireddy also alleged that the state government was constructing a thermal plant at Damaracharla only to make money for caretaker minister G Jagadish Reddy and his supporters. He said that the Congress would stop the works of the Damaracharla plant if it returned to power.
Making more allegations, Komatireddy claimed that KCR had pocketed Rs 30,000 crores in the Kaleswaram project, and had neglected the completion of the SLBC tunnel. Komatireddy also ridiculed KCR for talking tall on the distribution of Bathukamma saris when he hadn't inducted a single woman in his cabinet.
Condemning KCR's allegations against the Congress leaders at the Nalgonda Ashirvada Sabha on Thursday, Komatireddy said that both KCR's remarks against the Congress leaders and his language at the meeting were painful.
