Former minister and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today announced that he would contest from the Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency in the 2019 elections.
Speaking to the media on Monday after inaugurating his party office at the Vemulapally mandal headquarters, Komatireddy exuded confidence that the Congress would win all the seven Assembly constituencies in the Nalgonda LS constituency.
He also said that he would tour all the constituencies represented by the TRS MLAs to see that they lost their deposits in the 2019 elections, and exhorted the Congress activists to get ready to dislodge the "anti-people" TRS government in the state.
Komatireddy alleged that the TRS government was treating farmers like beggars. He also pulled it up for setting up thermal power plant at Damaracharla, which would pollute the area.
He promised that if the Congress came to power it would waive off all the farmers' loans in one go.
