KCR To Visit Vijayawada To Pray Goddess Durga on Sep 27

The Telangana CM will present a "mukku pudaka" (nose stud) to the presiding deity to fulfill an old oath.
Hyderabad | 6th September 2017
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will along with his family members be visiting Vijayawada on September 27 to worship goddess Kanakadurga atop the Indrakeeladri hill and present a "mukku pudaka" (nose stud) to the presiding deity to fulfill an old oath - he had promised to offer a nose-stud if a separate Telangana was carved out.

KCR, after taking over as Chief Minister of the new state, has already visited various temples, including the one at Tirupati, and offered different items of jewelry to the deities there. The Chief Minister offered a gold crown weighing 3 kg and 700 grams worth Rs 3.60 crores to the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal, gold ornaments worth Rs 5 crores to Lord Balaji in Tirumala, and a nose-stud worth Rs 45,000 to Goddess Padmavati at Tirumala.

He has also offered 'bangaru meesalu' (a golden moustache) worth Rs 60,000 to the Kuravi Veerabhadra Swamy temple in Mahabubabad district.
