TRS supremo and Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today said that he would file his nomination for the upcoming Assembly elections on November 14, and launch political campaigning from the next day.
The TRS president held a meeting with some of the Gajwel constituency leaders and activists at his Yerravalli farmhouse, where he made the announcement.
He said that he would submit his nomination papers to the RDO concerned on November 14, and asked the party leaders not to accompany him to the program.
KCR also directed the Gajwel leaders to intensify the campaigning for the elections.
"The TRS leaders should emphasize the welfare schemes of our government and create awareness among the people to vote for the ruling party and give us another mandate," he said.
"I am sure Gajwel will give me total mandate in the elections," he added.
KCR said that he had focused on the all-round development of the state over the past 4 years, and that had resulted in his giving little focus to the Gajwel constituency.
"But this time I will spend more time on my home constituency and make it a benchmark at the state level," he vowed. "In five years, everyone in the constituency will get housing, and there will be clean drinking water for every household and irrigation water for every acre. Gajwal will get irrigation waters for three crops and the Kondapochamma reservoir will be filled with adequate waters for farming. Food parks will be opened across the state and the first one will be in Gajwel. The constituency will also get crop colonies and 100% subsidy for mulching animals for milk production and sale."
KCR also claimed that the TRS would play a key role at the Centre.
