PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, on Monday, appealed to the Congress cadre to actively take part in the relief and rescue operations in the flood-affected areas in Andhra Pradesh.

Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa appealed to the government to expedite the relief and rescue operations while making arrangements to help the farmers who lost their crops.

He said that the government must pay ex-gratia to the families of those who had lost their lives due to the floods and heavy rains. Further, steps should be taken to provide housing facilities for those whose houses were damaged, he opined. (INN)
