TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today suggested that the Telangana TDP leadership move ahead with a robust plan to strengthen the party.
During his one-and-a-half-hour meeting with his Telangana lieutenants at his Jubilee Hills residence on Thursday, Naidu directed the leaders to continue the "Palle Palleku Telugu Desam" program till March 29 extensively, and said that the party workers would get encouraged if the state leaders went to the people.
He also agreed to attend public meeting to be held at Khammam very soon, and that three public meetings should be conducted before Mahanadu.
He asked his leaders to concentrate on strengthening the party for now and said that alliance issues should be discussed only on the eve of elections. There would be no problem if some leaders left the party, he said.
He also asked the party leaders to complete the appointment of committees in all constituencies by the end of May.
TTDP party chief L Ramana, MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, former MPs Nama Nageshwara Rao, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, E Peddi Reddy and Revuri Prakash Reddy, party Vice-President Garikapati Mohan Rao, Bakkani Narsimhulu, Aravind Kumar Goud, G Butchilingam and others were present.
