Case Against BJP's Bharat Reddy for Attacking Dalits

A BJP member from Nizamabad, Bharat Reddy, has been booked for thrashing two dalit youths.
Hyderabad | 12th November 2017
A member of BJP's Telangana unit, M Bharat Reddy, attacked two dalit youths from Abhangapatnam village in Navipet mandal on Sunday.

A video of the incident has gone viral on the social media.

Reddy thrashed the youths, Laxman and Rajeswar, mercilessly, and even threatened to kill them. He also forced the duo to take a dip in the muddy water of a tank near the village, and had them rub their noses to the ground.

The provocation appeared to be that the two men had questioned Reddy about his alleged illegal mining of gravel.

Reddy has charges of murder against him from the past, and was underground for nearly four years.

The police has reportedly filed a case under IPC 506 against Reddy for threatening the dalit duo.
