300-Bed Hospital, Irrigation For 85,000 Acres To Gadwal: KCR
The Telangana CM today gave plenty of sops to Gadwal including a 300-bed hospital during his visit for the Gattu and the Tummilla lift irrigation projects.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today gave sops to Gadwal including a 300-bed hospital during his visit for the Gattu and the Tummilla lift irrigation projects, and reiterated his resolve to bring under irrigation a total of one crore acres in the state.
Naming the Gattu project the Nalla Somanadri Lift Project, KCR said that it would irrigate a total of 87,500 acres in the area by Dasara.
Addressing a public meeting, he said that the entire Jogulamba Gadwal district would start looking like East Godavari district with lush greenery and water resources in a few months.
"We plan to lift 4 TMC of waters if the people give us more lands. And effective coordination by the officials will complete the works and the projects in very low time," he announced.
The Chief Minister also slammed the past governments for neglecting irrigation, agriculture and other sectors in the Telangana region, and making people migrate to other states for their livelihoods. He also criticized the Congress leaders for moving the courts against the irrigation projects.
The sops KCR announced for the region include Rs 100 crores for the development of the district in general, an SC study circle, a tribal gurukul, a residential school in Gadwal, Rs 2 crores for a bus stand, Rs 15 crores for a "Brindavan" near the Jurala dam, Rs 8 crores for the Gurram Gadda bridge, and 119 more BC Gurukul Schools next year.
Ministers T Harish Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao, Lakshma Reddy and others were present.
