Telangana State Public Service Commission chairman Ghanta Chakrapani said that 3,000 pending vacancies in the government would be filled within the next one week.
He further said that the notification for Group-I posts would be issued shortly.
Speaking to the media, Chakrapani said that the Commission had so far filled over 18,000 vacancies during the past four years, of which 10,000 were filled in during the last one year itself.
Written examinations were conducted for filling up another 38,000 vacancies, he said.
Chakrapani said that filling up over 20,000 vacancies in four years was not an easy task, and that the staff of the Commission were doing a good job.
